What if life was as easy
As a second in time
A second that just passes
No waiting til' 9.
And if life was so simple
Would that be it
Are serious...kidding?

I'm speaking my truth
It's more than how my heart feels
The pang in the bottom of my soul
Drowning in melting ice of its cold
What would you get out of it?
Tell me now
For I can not wait any longer -
headin' off to town
It was not for you
It never was , it never will be
Because your life is at ease
And you don't have to say please!
I don't have to say please
Because I owe nothin' to no one
They wanted to help me
And it's not like for anything I'd won
My life is so difficult
My brain, spine, my whole body aches
My enthusiasm breaks
And to whose 'love' will this equate?
And my love-
Where I give you no time
That you don't care
And your heart's no longer mine?
You wish your life to be easy
But are you really that daft?
Too stupid to understand
Too ignorant, downcast?
For when you leave me
Don't disappear from the face of the earth
When life is miserable
And you feel nothing of worth.
For even when I don't love you
I will still respect you
Because that's what I want back in return.
You are confusing me
You don't make any sense,
You want to skip time
And let the world end
It's not that easy waiting till 9
But I just want to pass this second of time
I'll say one word only;
It makes me seem lonely
But I'll say it anyway...Goodbye.
