Chapter 21 – Movie Night

I sighed, switching positions in my bed. It had to be at least 4 P.M., and I haven’t really moved since Harry brought me the nuggets. My mom wanted me to get some more sleep, so Harry had to leave right before I drifted. I had just woken up, my tummy feeling a lot better. The light was pouring through the open window, not that it was bothering me. It was quite peaceful, actually. The sound of the waves, the seagulls, and kids laughing. The door started to squeak open, and I turned my head. “Hey.” I said, sitting up.

“Hey girlie” Kae said, taking a seat on my bed. “Feeling any better?”

“Loads, I just needed food… Like always.” I said, laughing. She giggled, laying back.

“That’s good, I hate when you’re sick. It’s not cool, man.” She gushed, rolling onto her belly.

“Well, what do ya do?” I said, picking up my phone, checking for messages.

“I guess I should tell you. Your mom, dad, Riley, Gemma, and Harry’s parents all went out for the night. They talked about driving to this drive-in movie theater. They said it would be best for us to stay home, seeing as you’re sick.” She said, playing with my blanket. “They will be home tomorrow, and one of the house workers will keep an eye on us. Like, not in the creepy way, just so we don’t get hurt or whatever.”

“I don’t even like going to those, anyways. You can barely hear the movie, and I always end up falling asleep.” I said, giggling. “We can always have a movie night here?” I suggested, knowing that those nights were common with Kae and I.

“Dude, yes! And we’ll be with our boys! Talk about adorable!” She sang, making me laugh.

“I’m gonna change into something different, I feel gross in this.” I said, slowly getting up. I walked over to my dresser pulling out an “I Love Cats” gray sweater and black leggings. http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=89308441 .  I threw my hair into a quick, cute messy bun and gave my eyes pop and my lips some color. I put on my black moccasin slippers and called it a day. I walked out, content with myself. I saw that Kae had changed too. She wore a gray cami with a peach cardigan on top. She had gray leggings and gray ankle socks, too. http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=89309020 . When she wore one color, she went all out. Her hair was in a side messy bun, showing off her beautiful locks. Her eyes had a bit of peachy color on top, and a nice light color on her lips. She was putting on heart earrings, and she turned her promise ring so it was facing forward. She was drop dead gorgeous. I don’t know what she drinks in the morning, but give me some of that.

“All of our movies are downstairs, so we can decide what we want to watch when we get down there. And maybe we could ask Mrs. King to cook us up something? That’s what she was hired for.” Kae said, picking up her phone and putting it in between her hip and the elastic waist band of the leggings.

“Alright, that’s fine. Her number’s on the fridge. Call and ask if she can make something.” I said, as we walked out the doorway. She went left, walking towards the stairs. I went straight, seeing if Harry was in his room. I left a few knocks, before walking in. We usually don’t knock, but I thought that I’d be nice. I got hit with a wall of cologne and darkness. I flipped on the light, no one in there. I looked around, taking in my surroundings. It was like a tornado hit, things thrown everywhere. It was one of the messiest places I had ever seen. I haven’t been in there for a good two weeks, so seeing this was shocking. I shuddered and walked back out the way I came in. I shut the door and started to walk to the staircase. I quickly hopped down the steps, landing on the cold tile in front of the door. I walked through the house, making my way into the kitchen. Kae was standing with her phone in her hands.
