Chapter 17 - Again?

“That girl has some nerve walking towards this house.” Kae said, gritting her teeth. Who, you ask? Ashley. The girl who broke Liam & Kae up in the first place. I shook my head. This is just what we need. More drama. Ashley sees us, and has a nasty grin on her face. Then, she started walking towards us.

“Well, well, well. Isn’t it the hoe that tried getting with my boyfriend.” Kae said, putting her sunglasses at the top of her head.

“I almost succeeded.” Ashley said, that smug smile still on her face.

“Buuuut you didn’t.” I said, holding out the “but”, stepping forward. No one messes with my sista from anotha mista.

“You guys broke up? That’s enough for me to fall asleep at night.” Ashley said, while some of her beach blonde bimbo friends came up behind her. 

“We got back together, just so you know. He even gave me a promise ring, so nothing else happens.” Kae said, smiling. Her tone was calm, I really don’t know how she did it. She always did ‘Kill Em With Kindness’. Kae held out her hand, the rink sparkling in the Australian sunlight. At that moment, Ashley’s smile fades, being replaced by a scowl. “You know, you never had a chance with Liam, right? You’re not up his alley.” Kae said, putting her glasses back on her face. 

“And you are?” Ashley said, stepping forward. Her friends started snickering, making ‘OOOO’ sounds. 

Kae held her hand up, pointing to the ring. “Obviously.” I started to laugh, this girl was SO sassy. 

“You think you’re cool, huh? With some ring that probably has fake diamonds?” Ashley said, her confidence slipping through her hands by the second.

“Actually, yeah. That’s what everyone else says.” Kae said, smiling. “NOW, if you excuse me, I want to have fun today. Please go back to wherever you came from. That would be appreciated. Bye!” Kae said, waving. Ashley and her friends all rolled their eyes, and walked away. I laughed even harder, clutching my stomach. 

“THAT WAS GOLD!” I yelled, while Kae walked towards the shore. I slowly followed her, catching up on my breath. 

“She deserved it.” She said, stretching her beach towel on the sand, plopping down. I coped her, now laying on my back. The sun beat down on my stomach. I need a tan, I haven’t gotten one since we got here. I’m a bit pasty. I closed my eyes, even though I had shades on. It was so comfortable, I bet I could fall asleep. No joke.

I jolt awake, feeling water on my hot skin. I blink a few times, taking in my surroundings. I look forward, seeing Kae and my brother. Those brats poured water on me.. My eyes widen, seeing Kae. She was redder than a tomato. “What the heck happened to you?” I ask, pointing to her. I feel pain and stiffness throughout my arm. I look down, and I’m as red as her. “DID WE FALL ASLEEP?” I ask, pressing my finger son my forearm. My print was left on my arm, and I instantly groan. I look back up, and see Riley laughing. “Shut it, kid.” I say, slowly (and painfully) getting up from my towel.

“Go get in the water, it feels SO good.” Kae said, lifting up her sunglasses. I start laughing SO hard. She had the sunglasses tan, HARDCORE. 

“Now it’s time for you to shut it, kid.” She said, smirking. I start walking towards the water, and feel the coldness in between my toes. I smile, and walk further into it. The coolness crept up on me, and I felt amazing.

I made my way up the stairs towards my room. My family and I literally spent ALL day outside, except when we wanted to eat or something. I was stupid to fall asleep without sun screen, but at least my sun burn turns into tan after a week or so. I finally get to my floor, and go to my room. I immediately pick out my clothes for the rest of the evening, and head to the bathroom to take a shower. I get done doing my stuff, and braid my hair into a fishtail hanging on my shoulder. I get into my outfit, a Topshop floral print open back vest, aqua blue shorts, & brown sandals. I finished the look with a pearl necklace and earrings. I walk out, and Kae had taken a shower in Liam and Harry’s room. She was already done, and was wearing an open back blue & white striped tank with a blue sequin anchor in the middle. For shorts, she was wearing just a pair of blue denims with a few shreded holes. She finished the look with blue Vans, and anchor necklace & anchor earrings. Her hair was natural down her back with a redular headband in. “All anchored out, I see..” I said, smirking. She stuck her tongue out at me, and went back to texting. Probably Liam. I said in my mind. Which reminds me, I wonder if Harry has texted me. I go to my phone, and see 2 new messages.

“AWW!” I yell, making Kae jump. She laughs and gets up to read it. 

“Liam said basically the same thing!” She grinned, showing me the message.

“We got ourselves some adorable boys!” I say, pinching her cheek. I look back down to my phone and check the 2nd message, which was a picture message.

I start laughing so hard that I drop my phone and double over. Kae runs back to where I was, and looks at the picture.

“ARE YOU FOR REAL?” She yelled, cackling. 

“I’m saving that.” I say, reaching for my phone, and hitting ‘Save’. He’ll kill me, but oh well.

A/N: hey guys! tomorrows my last day of school! YAY! anyways, ive already written the next chapter. im excited for you guys to read it. I like it, I dont know how you all will react.
