Chapter 8- Boardwalk

Chapter 8 - Boardwalk

The parents decided that today, we should take a walk down to the boardwalk, which was about 10 minutes away. After breakfast, I set my dishes in the sink, and Kae & I made our way upstairs to get ready. I jumped in the shower quickly, and washed my body & hair. I got out, and blow dried my brownish/red locks. I put my pj’s back on, and walked out of the bathroom. Kae walked in right after me, wanting to take a shower too. I looked through my drawers, and wondered what to wear. I checked my I Pod for the weather, and it was 87 degrees, and sunny. “Perfect day!” I muttered to myself. I decided on a blue crop top that said Hipsta Please, a black sports bra underneath, frayed dark jean shorts, black bow earrings, the charm braclet Kae and I got together, and blue flip flops. I put my hair into a messy pony, the side parts coming out a bit. 

Kae walked out of the bathroom, and said, “Oooo lala , girl! You look rad!

“Thanks girl! I gotta go do my makeup, be right back!” I walked back into the bathroom, and shut the door so Kae could have some privacy. I decided on mascara, and a bit of lip gloss. I double checked my hair and outfit, then walked out. She was already changed, she changes fast. She decided on a red crop top that said Hipsta Please (got them together..(;), a white sports bra underneath, white jean shorts, fake diamond earrings, the same charm braclet I was wearing, and red flops. She put her hair in a messy bun. It was funny how we think alike. We match ALL the time. We both laughed, and grabbed our phones. Right as we walked out of our room, so did the boys. Harry was wearing a blue v-neck tshirt that was tight, striped blue and white khaki shorts, white converse, and a paper airplane necklace. Liam was wearing a yellow and white striped tshirt, brownish tannish striped khaki shorts, brown man flipflops, and a shark tooth necklace. Not that I was checking Harry out, but he did look outstanding in that shirt. I could feel his gaze on my body, and it felt right.

“Let’s go!” Harry said, grabbing my hand. Liam grabbed Kae’s. I looked back at Kae, and her smile was wider than my wingspan. She winked at me, and I winked back. We descended down the stairs, and I saw Riley and Gemma oddly close to each other. I looked towards Harry, my moth hanging open. His expression was the same.

“Soooooo, Riley! You & Gemma?” I asked, my eye brows moving up and down. Riley blushed, and Gemma giggled.

“What about you guys? Holding hands and what not.” Gemma said, her eyes fixed on your intertwined hands.

“Not yet..” Harry said, smiling. “Soon, but not yet.” He whispered, thinking I couldn’t hear. But I did. And I was ecstatic. Everyone started walking into foyer, and all eyes went on Harry & I. And then to Liam & Kae. They were all smiling, and I think that they were okay with it.

“Everyone ready?” Joe said, looking at everyone. We all nodded, and started to go out the door, in pairs. First, it was Anne & Joe, then my parents. Next, it was Riley and Gemma, then Liam & Kae. Harry & I finally walked out the door, closing & locking it behind us. We caught up with Liam & Kae, and we all walked in a line. Waling the streets down to the board walk was amazing. The sights, the warm breeze, the sounds of the animals coming from all around. It was all surreal.

10 minutes later, we arrived at the board walk. It was PACKED, but it looked so fun! There was a carnival there, food vendors, little shops, & there was another big beach with surfers and swimmers having fun. There were boats sailing, kids laughing, couples walking hand in hand (like us). It was like nothing mattered when you came here. It was brilliant!

My mom gave Kae, Riley & I each $30. Anne have Harry, Liam, and Gemma $30 also. “Now, kids, don’t get in trouble, make sure your phones are on so we can call you, and if there are any problems, dial me!” My dad said.

“Alright!” I said, while us 4 started walking towards the carnival. There was a ferris wheel, a small roller coaster, about a dozen rides, and game booths. Liam and Harry whispered some thing to each other, while Kae & I awkwardly stood there. Harry then grabbed my hand again, and he took me to a skeet ball game.

“I’m gonna win you a stuffed animal of your choice” he said, winking. Liam came right next to him, and he payed for the game too. Kae & i stood back, smiling.

“We found good boys, Sham.” Kae said, looking at me, then back to the boys. They both scored high, and we picked out the big teddy bears. They matched, of course. We hugged the boys, and then they took our hands, pulling us to the next booth. You had to throw a ring around a bowl, then you won a goldfish. So, Harry paid for 2 rings, and on the first throw, it got on! I started jumping, and celebrating. The next ring he threw, ALSO got on! I jumped even more, and he turned around and hugged me.

“I’m gonna give you one, and then we can have matching fishies!” He said, smiling. The guy at the booth wrote our names on 2 fish bags, and said we could get them before we left. Liam didn’t win anything, but Kae didn’t care. They then pulled us to the ferris wheel. We got in line, and slowly creeped our way to the front. We finally got in one of the seats, just Harry and I. I set the bear down on the floor, and snuggled into his side. His arm rested on my shoulder.

“I’m having a blast, Harry. Thank you for winning the bear & fishies. I love them!” I said, looking up into his beautiful eyes.

“No problem, Sam.” He said, kissing the top of my head. “Sammi, I have a question?”

I looked back up at him, and then realized that we were at the top of the ferris wheel. He pulled away from our cuddle, and and took my hands. I was confuse,d but went along with it.

“We’ve known each other for a day. But, this day feels like forever. Would you do me the honor of being my girlfriend?” My mouth dropped open a little bit. It turned into a smile.

“Of course I will!” I said, hugging him. He pulled away once again, and took my chin in his huge hands. He then kissed me. It felt like fireworks where being lit off, and the time froze. It was my first kiss, and it felt perfect. I pulled away, needing air. The wheel started going back down, and I snuggled into Harry’s side again. The ride stopped, and the guy made us get off. I grabbed the bear, and Harry’s hand, and we waited until Liam & Kae got off.

Liam and Kae walked towards us, as Harry said “I have to go to the loo.”

“Me too, mate! Wait here, girls!” They walked off, and I immediately turned towards Kae.

“HOLY FRICK! GUESS WHAT?!” I yelled at Kae.

“WHAT?!” She yelled back.

“HE ASKED ME OUT AT THE TOP OF THE FERRIS WHEEL!!” I yelled, going this weird hop thing.

“YOU’RE KIDDING!” She yelled, once again. I shook my head, and we both laughed. “BUT GUESS WHAT?!” She yelled.

“WHAT?!” I yelled, as you could tell.

“LIAM ASKED ME OUT AT THE TOP OF THE FERRIS WHEEL TOO!” We both quietly screamed, and hugged each other. By that time, the boys had came back. They knew what we just did, but they didn’t care.

“Let’s go get some food, yeah?” Liam said, leading us to one of the vendors.

I’m SO lucky.. I thought to myself.
