I hadn’t seen Dan for the rest of the day, no I wasn’t avoiding him because of what he said I honestly hadn’t seen him. He had not shown up for lunch Zander brought me lunch instead then disappeared himself. I was getting a little worried I know both Chad and Dan had told me the rumours weren’t true and they weren’t drug dealers who had a line of girl trailing behind them. But I couldn’t help the feeling that something was wrong. I was really missing Ann now I was sat on are normal table on my own, picking at the lunch Zander had brought me. Everyone kept turning round and glaring at me, shooting my pitiful looks or whispering about me.

I pushed away my uneaten food deciding I would just go to the gym. I got up not throwing the food away I just wanted to get out of here. I span round pulling my bag strap over my shoulder as I did, walking towards the door quick as I could without running. I was almost at the door, when Cooper Johnson stepped out in front of me blocking the door. He was looking down at me with a grin, which I didn’t like. “Can I get past please?” I asked making my voice much more confident than it was, he chuckle gaining the three people’s attention which we didn’t already hold. Cooper ignored everyone staring and took a step towards me, I automatically took one back. He licked his lips as he looked over my much smaller body then his. “Why does Dan always get everything?” he said leaning his head to the side, Cooper was a rugby player which made his muscle huge he could take anyone in this school defiantly me and maybe even Dan, this scared me. “What?” I asked slowly.

He smiled and stepped forward once again towards me I once again stepped back slower this time watching him, just like everyone else was. “Dan he gets everything doesn’t he?” he said looking away from me to past me. I swallowed about to speak when he looked back at me and spoke again “He is captain of the football team, he is trying to become captain of the rugby team, he is the lead in the play, he has hundreds of girls, and he also gets you” he said staring at me intently. Ok now I was confused, and as it appeared everyone else in the whole room was as well. They all started mumbling too low for me to hear. “I don’t know what you mean” He laughed and looked up to the right staring at the ceiling. “You remember Izzy when we used to be friends” I nodded Copper and I used to be best friends till we started high school, and then we grew apart he went into the popular group and I became well me.

He took a step back and I glanced round to see I couldn’t walk back any further because there was a wall. I looked back at him, to see him smiling this one was just as creepy as the one before but there was also something else in them, which I couldn’t understand and I don’t think I wanted to. He stepped again so my back was against the wall and he was in front of me, he let forward to my ear “I never stopped loving you” Oh shit! That cannot be good. “I want you to be with me not the prick, I have watched you every day, and just pops out of the blue and sleeps with you, when I was waiting in till you were ready, who do you think likes you more” I was looked over his shoulder as he whispered in my ear. My eyes met Tasha’s she was on the cheerleaders with me and she looked worried everyone else I looked at their eyes held the next gossip hers looked worried, and she smiled but it didn’t come across like I think she wanted it to.

“Think about it, I could look after you and the pricks baby much better than that son of a bitch can” I swallowed this was a bad day, I could help but think that Cooper had made something happen to Dan, Chad and Zander so he could do this. “Cooper I need to go to the gym.” His lips were so close to my ear I could feel him smile “Think about it princess” then he kissed the soft skin below my ear. And turned and walked away, I let out my breath in a rush and legged it out of there. I got to the gym throwing my bag across the floor, not caring were it landed. I bent back into a crab to stretch out my back, then came back up straight and walked over to the bar. I dipped my hands in the chalk which were next to them, and jumped and grabbed it, because of my height my feet now not touching the floor. Even though I am the best at floor gymnastic I was alright at bar as well. I was half way through a routine when I heard a voice.

“I know where they are” at my surprise at hearing the voice, my hands slipped and didn’t catch the bar, and I landed on my side “Shit” I said I moved my arm that I landed on making sure it wasn’t broken. “Oh crap sorry” I looked round to see Tasha stood around three metres away from where I was still on the floor; I slowly got up testing all the bits that hurt finding that they would only be bruised thank god. As soon as I was standing Tasha spoke again “I know where they are” she looked terrified, I took her shaking hands “were who is?” I asked in soothing voice trying to calm her down, “Dan, Chad and Zander you have to come save them” I nodded and let her drag me out of the gym forgetting my bag.

She pulled me through the now filling halls, to the back of the English block and what I saw shocked me. Dan, Chad and Zander were all bruised and bleeding held in one of three rugby players grasps. And Cooper and two others were stood in front obviously doing the beatings, as I watched Cooper punched Dan in the face; he seemed to be enjoying a little bit more then he probable should. Dan jaw clenched but he made no sound to say that it hurt but you could see it in his eyes. Tasha next to me who was still holding my hand tightly started to cry, she was terrified she was shaking so much that my arm was shaking because she was now holding my hand with two hands. “Make them stop, please” she said to me.

Cooper span round at her voice, and all the others turned their heads to look at me, Chad’s eyes was look a nasty green colour and Zander’s lips was cut so much that there was a puddle of blood on the floor, but Dan was the worst his nose was bleed his eyebrow was cut and his lip was cracked. Cooper smiled at me as if he wanted a gold star for beating up three of my friends, one being the father of my child, shit! The baby could have it been hurt when I fell.

I had no longer time to think about it then because Cooper spoke. I was wondering when she would get scared enough to go get you” said Cooper smiling at Tasha who ducked behind me even though she was taller than me she decided I would be a good shield. Cooper looked down at me, “Now princess would you like your choices” I looked over at the three beaten guys, Zander’s head was down and he looked unconscious, Chad was looking at me trying to tell something with his eyes, which I didn’t understand, god I need to get better at reading people. When I finally looked at Dan it was to find him glaring at Cooper. I turned to look at Cooper to find him still smiling at me, I nodded. And his smile grew it to a grin, “Right princess, your choices are become my girlfriend and I will let them go no more harmed then they already are, or you don’t become my girlfriend and I beat them for the rest of lunch which is thirty minutes” he said looking at his watch.

I looked back at Dan, he looked at me, and shook his head, I could understand what he want all to clearly he didn’t want me to become Cooper’s girlfriend he had told me less the two hours ago that he liked me. But looking at Chad and defiantly unconscious Zander I knew I really had no choice. I let go of Tasha’s hand after giving it a squeeze and stepped towards Cooper. “I…Will…” But I was interrupted by Dan “No Izzy don’t do this please” he was struggling in the guy’s arms as he tried disparately to get out them. I could look away from his as he stared into my eyes, “I like you, and I want to be your boyfriend and have this baby together, please don’t do this” He looked like he was about to cry.

I was too I could feel the water welling in my eyes. I shook my head and looked back to Cooper to find him smirking at thrashing Dan, his eyes switched back to mine “I will be your girlfriend” he grinned “great” then he leant down and kissed me. Without warning his hands were around my waist and his tongue in my mouth, I kissed him back not much else I could do. When he broke off he turned to the guys off the rugby team, “Let them go” then he linked his hand with mine and pulled me away. Tasha followed behind obviously not wanting to be left with the other rugby players Dan, Chad and Zander.

Before we went inside I looked back to see Dan stood up watching me, with his jaw clench. Chad was bent over Zander who the guy holding him had just thrown him on the floor. Dan mouthed the words, ‘I will get you back, don’t worry’ before the door swung closed and I was lead down the hall by my new boyfriend.
