Worst Night Mare : Hot and Cold, with a kick

I stood in front of the group of dancers again, watching as they went through the routine I had just shown them. It had almost been a week since Dan had asked me to move in with him, and I might as well have since I had slept over his house three times in the last week. But I still wouldn’t feeling like I would be leaving my family. I was now three months and a half pregnant meaning had again got bigger. Which was making a little self-conscious today, because Dan and Ellie would being doing their first sense together today. And I was still scared that Dan would see her as a better girlfriend as me. I hadn’t told Dan or anyone about this, apart from I had half told Mark when we were in the kitchen one of the times we were both over the Gill’s flat.

Mark had told me I was being stupid that Dan was in love with me, and nothing would change that. But watching them dance next to each other touching in each other’s arms still made me wonder. But I had to but this to the back of my mind so I could be a good teacher, since most of the people on the cast had been picked for their acting and singing and sadly not their dancing. Thankfully no more guy related situations had happened so Dan hadn’t got into any other fights. I turned to see Mary had let her group have a break, and was heading over to the bench were her stuff was. I looked back at my group just as they finished the move I had told them to do “OK take a break” I ran my hand through my hair as they moved over to were their things were.

I saw Dan smiling and heading my way, after saying something to Ellie. I tried to smile back but I wasn’t sure what it came out like so I turned quickly and walked towards Mary who was sat on the floor with her back on the bench. I sat on the bench next to her, she lay here head back on the bench to look up at me. “Hey” I said trying not to look at Dan who I was sure was still making his way over to me. “Hey you ok?” she asked passing me a bottle of water to me closing her eyes. “Yeah” I said as I heard Dan’s footsteps come to a stop. “Good” she said sighing before getting up and walking off.

Dan took this as a cue to sit down so he did, his hand came to lay on my thigh, I know he usually would take my hand in his but since I was playing with the water bottle I was still holding both my hands were busy, well I was making them busy. “You alright beautiful?” I could hear concern in his voice, I know he worried about me and the baby all the time special when I was either dancing or doing gymnastics which I had only done once or twice since I got pregnant. I nodded unable to tell him that I was worried that he was going to go off with another girl and Ellie at that because she is one of the less likely person to try and steal my boyfriend or anyone else’s she was sweet and kind. And I felt bad for even thinking she might when I know she wouldn’t. “You’re sure?” he said against rubbing his thumb over a spot on my thigh, I looked over to the other wall were Ellie was talking to one of her friends, who was also beautiful. “I’m fine Dan” I said in colder voice then I wanted it to be before getting up and walking off. I heard Mary’s voice ring out as are eyes met “Right everyone back end of break” Both our groups came back to stand in their places, I kept my eyes of Dan who I could feel his eyes practically burning holes in to my head.

I rubbed the towel in my hair throwing it back into my locker. I picked up my bag and walked out to the corridor. I walked down towards the main exit to the car park were my brother would be waiting to pick me up. When someone grabbed my arm dragging me into a closet, I was plunged into darkness, and for a moment I was scared it was Cooper coming for pay back. But then there was a click and light flooded into the tiny room. And Dan was stood before me, I stared into his eyes waiting for him to speak, still confused to why he had dragged me into here. After a while of silence he sighed and his back sagged, and he stepped towards me bring me into his arms. I rested my head against his muscular chest still confused to why I was in here but loved the hug. “Talk to me Izzy what is wrong?” I pulled away so this is why I was in here he still wanted to know what I was upset about. “I told you I was fine” he licked his lips looking between my eyes. “What did you do Izzy?” I ran my hand through my hair, “I just tired ok, I pregnant I am allowed mood swings” his eyes and expression soften straight away “I know you must be tired but I know there is something wrong, and it has something to do with me so can you just tell me please.” I shook my head, I would not tell him no doubt we just end up agreeing which I was not in the right mood for now I was telling the truth when I said I was tired I was shattered and want to go to bed.

Dan just stood staring at me with so many emotions in his eyes, that I couldn’t focus on one. “Dan I need to go Jack’s picking me up and you know he will start to worry” Dan seemed to give up because he stepped to the side, and let me walk out the door back into the school hallway. I felt his large warm hand take my smaller one spinning me round to face him. He was closer then I first fought making my breath catch in my throat. He put us forehead to forehead the hand which was holding my hand claimed my waist, and the other came to cup the side of my face. “I don’t know what I have done but I want you to know whatever it was I am sorry and I love you so much.” He lay a little kiss on my lips as I pulled away “I know” I said as I walked away, I was still in the strange mood, but as soon as I got in to Jack’s car’s passenger seat I already regerted not telling him I loved him back.

Later on that night I lay in bed dozing off when I felt a kick, I sat up putting my hand over my stomach were the kick had come just feel it again. “DAD” I shouted I got out of bed walking to the door, it was late but I knew Jack and Dad would probable still be awake. Jack and Dad appeared at the top of the stairs later “What’s wrong princess?” asked dad he must have realised my massive smile because he frowned “The baby kicked” I said letting my happiness follow into my words. Jack and Dad now both had excitement dancing in their eyes and grins on their faces. At the same time they put their hands on my stomach, no more than a few seconds later the baby kicked again, and their smile grew. “You going to ring Dan?” asked Dad and I nodded. I walked back into my room picking up my phone I rang Dan’s number quickly, and he picked up on the first ring “Hey baby, what’s wrong?” he sound tired like I had just woke him up, but I didn’t care I was too happy and excited. “Do you want to feel your baby kick?” I heard movement the other end of the phone “I am on my way” then the click came as the call ended.

I sat on the sofa hardly sitting still with excitement and the baby must have felt it because it kept kicking almost none stop. The knock came loud and quickly, I bounced off the sofa to the door I opened it quickly to a beaming Dan. He came in shutting the door and I took his hand and put it to my stomach were the baby was still kicking at rhythm. His smile grew as he looked up to my face from my tummy. He leant down and captured my lips, I kissed him back eagerly “I love you” I said as we pulled away and he beamed he pressed his lips to my forehead “I love you too Beautiful”
