Unlikely Pair

Chapter 2

"Okay you can go over to the mirrors now." Lauryn said pushing me over to her closets mirrors.

Couture Heaven was the name of her closet. I don't know why she named it but she did. Lauryn had put me in a cute sleeveless crop top with the British flag on it and a pair of Hollister shorts. I wore a pair of reds toms with it and she had straightened my hair so it's length was shown off.

My make up was done with the smoky eye affect to bring out the color in my eyes. She had also put small wings on the corners and nice light shade of red lipstick on my lips. I must it admit, I looked hot.

I looked over at Lauryn who had on a yellow strapless shirt with white skinny jeans on and a pair of black vans. Her hair was in perfect wavy curls and her make up was at a minimum giving off a natural look.

"Well?"

"I look amazing but you Lauryn, you look hot!" I said while fanning myself.

"Great now let's get some food from the chef before we go." Lauryn didn't like having a staff that much. That's why she didn't bother to know their names but she was always nice to them.

We skipped down the stairs and walked into the kitchen. Going over to the snack fridge we looked in it. And yes, snack fridge, a fridge for just snacks. She grabbed a parfait for me and I gladly took it.

She had a yogurt and went to get the spoons. We sat at the bar stools and ate our snacks. Just them Logan walked in.

"I knew I'd find you here." Logan said as if he solved a crime.

"Wasn't like I was hiding stupid."

"Anyways, where are you guys going?"

"Out."

"Does mom and dad know?"

"No but they usually never know what we do." Lauryn said nonchalantly.

"You should still tell them." Logan said in authoritative tone.

"Nah I'll pass. Ready?" Lauryn said looking at me.

"Yeah I'm ready." I said hopping out of my chair.

"Oh hello Brooks." Logan said.

"Hi Logan." I said as I followed Lauryn out leaving our snacks on the counter.

We walked to the garage and Lauryn got in a Black Charger. Sliding into the passenger seat we put on our seat belts and she let up the garage. Backing out we started the drive to Andy's. I had plugged the address into my iPhone and it gave us directions.

When we pulled up to the house, we could see the party was in full swing. Lauryn found a spot to park her car in and we got out. We walked up to the house and we could see the house overflowing with people.

We pushed our ways into the house and were hit with the smell of beer and other liquors. We found our way to the backyard were the music was the loudest and we started dancing. I of course wasn't really enjoying myself seeing as Lauryn could dance with anyone and I was limited to her and Derek.

I was constantly keeping an eye out for him. When finally I saw him and he was making his way over to me. He smiled at me and I saw two cups in his hand as he got closer. He gave me a quick kiss and handed me the cup.

"What is it?" I asked scrunching my nose up at the smell.

"Beer. Try it." He said encouragingly. I took a sip and it was okay. We danced to the music and I kept drinking the beer. I was finally loosening up and I was having a good ass time. When I was out of beer Derek went to get me another one.
