***Luke's POV***
The next morning after I saw Brooklyn in the park I felt a lot better. I was having trouble sleeping but when I got back I was in a great mood and could sleep. So when I woke up, I was much more cheery then any other morning.
I felt like my advice and story had changed the way she viewed her situation with Derek. I'm actually glad she hadn't pressed the topic after I let my past slip a little. She was truly amazing for that. Many people would've taken that and out their own spin on it.
The only thing I was worried about was how she felt about our almost kiss. Was that going to influence her decision? I didn't mean to do that but something came over me in that moment. I don't know what but it felt right.
When I got to Mr. Mason's class I was pretty happy to see her smiling face. Sitting beside her I sparked a little conversation.
"How'd you sleep last night?" I asked.
"Like a baby, you?" She said sweetly.
"Like a rock. I think it was the bet sleep in my whole existence." I answered and the bell cut the rest of what could've been said off.
We did our work somewhat mainly just telling each other funny things trying to out do each other. At the end of the period I gave her a quick hug.
The periods blurred past and I was hoping that she had made the right choice. If she needed somewhere to sit today, I'd sit with her. I don't know why but I felt the need to be her friend. She was so different and strong, unlike the other girls that I occupied my time with.
That's when I spotted her. Only she wasn't alone, Derek was all over her. His arm thrown over her shoulder and her arm wrapped around his waist. Are you fucking serious?! Why did she do that?!
Marching over to them, I stormed right through anyone in my way. Skipping the line, people have me looks but I shot them down with glares that could kill. I had finally reached the happy couple and tapped their shoulders. They turned around almost in sync and her face was priceless, displaying shock.
"Um Luke, what're you doing?" She asked quietly.
"Oh what? Your to good to be my friend in public but in the covers of the night it's fine?" I said in a harsh tone.
"What's he talking about Brooklyn?" Derek asked looking between her and I.
"Last night we ran into each other at the park and we sat and talked about stuff all night. Hell we even had a repeat of last night in class today, but you know she doesn't listen to me." I snapped answering his question for her.
"I don't see why I should listen to you, your not my boyfriend. Your just my friend."
"Exactly and I'm a friend that knows what will happen if you stay with this ass." I said a little quieter.
"Luke stop causing a scene and just go about your business." Derek said.
"You want a scene? Cause I can definitely give you one!" I said feeling the rage boil underneath my skin.
"Luke! Calm down!" Brooklyn said placing her hands on my chest.
"Fine. Whatever see you in class." I said turning away from them and stalking off.
Everyone was watching me but I was used to that. I saw a pretty brunette eyeing me and made my way to her. I could she her fix her hair and stand up straighter noticing me coming in her direction. Grabbing her hand and pulling her after me.
"What's your name?" I asked as we walked.
"Amber, can we go ahead and make out?" She asked in a annoying tone.
