We did our work and the bell announced the end of lunch. I looked up and saw Luke still work intently. I went back to reviewing his notes. By the middle of free period we had corrected our notes.

Luke corrected me a lot and I didn't like that. If some one told me that one day Luke Edwards would be correcting me I would have laughed in their faces.

"Did you hear me?" Luke asked.

"No I wasn't paying attention. What did you say?"

"Did you want to keep working on Mrs. Watson's assignment or do Mr. Mason's?"

"It doesn't matter to me."

"He'll probably make us do it in detention so we can do it then."

"Wait? He's giving us detention?" I asked and Luke looked at me before busting out in laughter.

"I keep forgetting you don't get in trouble and yes he's giving us detention. Whoever gives it to you, watches you." Luke said with a laughing smile.

"That kind of makes sense." I said before returning to my work.

We worked on the project for the remainder of the period. I must admit Luke was smart. When the bell rung announcing the end of free period.

I packed up my stuff and started leaving the library when someone grabbed my wrist. I turned around looking at the hand until it released me. Letting my eyes settle on Luke before he spoke.

"What?" I asked.

"Well since we're going to the same place might as well walk together." Luke said softly.

"Sure." I said and we walked out of the library.

When we entered the hallway everyone gave us looks. Girls gave me glares and threw longing looks at Luke. Guys wore mainly jealous looks that Luke had so much female attention. I looked up at Luke, who just looked straight ahead with his head held high.

We reached the Health Science classroom and he let me in first. We walked over to our desk and sat down. I felt my phone vibrate and before I pulled it out, I made sure Mrs. Watson wasn't around.

I saw it was a text from Derek. I couldn't help but be reminded of when we first starting dating. He used to silent me cute little texts all the time. Even if we were in the same class or just saw each other in the hall. I was completely wrong about this one though.

'Why are you walking the halls with Edwards?'

Scowling at message I angrily replied. I hated that he didn't understand the fact that this was my partner. Nothing more.

"Boyfriend trouble?" Luke asked.

"That's none of your business." I shot at him.

Before he could make a comeback Mrs. Watson started talking. She wanted us to continue working on our projects and that this was the last class day to work on it.

"Let's just do what we did in the library."

"Okay." He said while getting up to get the computers. I went and got textbooks. He handed me a computer and I handed him a textbook. I sat down and opened my notes getting started.

"What are you doing this weekend?" Luke asked interrupting me.

"I don't know, I'll probably be with Derek. It's our one year." I said and he went back to working.

Halfway through the class Luke got up. He got a bathroom pass and left. I continued to work and research. I was interrupted when Mrs. Watson called me up to her desk.
