"Does anyone have a problem with this?" Sterling asked looking around the room. No one spoke. It was a shock to hear this but I believed things worked out for the best. "Good. You are to respect Tyler as your beta. Like I said before I will announce this to the whole pack, new and old members, this weekend at the ceremony. Tyler let your old pack know they are to attend." Tyler nodded.
"I guess that means we need to start planning!" Stacy squealed. Running up to us she hugged both Sterling and I.
"Yes but tonight I need to catch up on some homework!" I barley breathed out. Stacy let go and nodded seriously.
"You're right! You my dear need to go home and study! Plus, I think you and your father need to talk." She whispered in my ear. I nodded. "Sterling, boys, Ash, say goodbye to Skylar. You'll see her at school tomorrow." With that Stacy and Philip kissed my cheek and bid me a good night.
"Skylar I'll be out in the car." My father stated and walked out.
"He's mad at me." I said turning to Sterling.
"No he's mad at what he believes you did. Once you explain he'll understand." Sterling lightly kissed me. "I'll be come over tonight. Your face is nearly back to perfect." He smiled. "You're feeling okay right?" I laughed and nodded.
"Yes, and if anything changes you'll be the first to know."
"Good." With one last kiss he walked me out and to the car. Opening the car door for me he peeked in at my father. "Good night Deputy Woods."
"Sterling." My father mumbled. Sterling shut the door and watched as my father drove off without another word.
"Dad, I think we need to talk." I began.
"You think?" He grumbled angrily. "Skylar I don't even know what to say anymore."
"Then don't speak and let me do the talking." This shut him up. "How do I say this?" I mumbled to myself.
"Please tell me you're not pregnant." He whined. "I'm too young to be a grandpa and your mother will go ballistic, though she doesn't have any right to be because she didn't raise you, but that's not the point. Please Sky tell me you're not pregnant!" He repeated. This made me laugh.
"Dad! I swear, Sterling and I have done nothing but kiss!"
"Oh thank God! That boy is going to be the death of me!"
"What?" I asked laughing even harder.
"Stop laughing!" He said now laughing himself. "All I'm saying is that my daughter had to be the one to date a werewolf, no scratch that, date two werewolves, both being an alpha at that! Oh and did I mention that all her friends are werewolves as well?"
"Well, apparently my father is a feared peacekeeper for werewolves. Who would have known?" Pulling up to the house he shut the car off. I opened my door to get out but realized he hadn't moved. When I looked over at him I saw a serious expression, one full of sadness and despair. "Hey, what's wrong?"
"After your mother left I thought I could keep you out of that world, somehow it found you and now I'm going to lose you to it as well." A lone tear streamed down his face.
"Dad." I sighed. "You could never lose me. I will always be here."
"Sterling and you will get married soon after this year and then you'll move in with him and have your own family. You're all grown up now." I grimaced.
"I don't know about marriage that soon, what about college? I can go to the local college and still live here with you. Don't think you can get rid of me that easily." I lightly teased.
