Matthew dropped me off at my next class but before he did he gave me his and Brayden's phone number in case I needed them. I found it odd but I didn't ask. I sighed in relief as I realized the day was half way over. I began to wonder what Sterling and Sean were talking about this morning when Sean tried attacking me. I found myself staring at the clock waiting for the hour to pass by. I perked up a bit when Brayden enter the room with a note in his hand. He turned in my direction with a smile on his face. I returned it. I'm bored. I mouthed to him.

Sorry! He mouthed back with a frown. I watched as the teacher signed the paper and return it back to Brayden. Brayden left taking my happiness with him. I sat there dwelling in my boredom when suddenly the fire alarm went off causing the inside sprinklers to shut on. Everyone began to scream and make their way to the halls and out of the school. I sat there and laughed like an idiot. After realizing I was the only one left in the classroom and was now soaked I made my way out and into the hallways.

"Are you still bored?" I turned around to face a wet Brayden leaning against some lockers. I began to laugh and shake my head.

"Did you do this?" I asked. He shrugged.

"Maybe, maybe not."

"You know you can get fined for pulling the alarm?" I asked.

"Yeah, but no one knows I did it." He retorted. "Except you."

"Who says I won't tell?" I teased. Pushing off the lockers he made his way towards me.

"Me." He teased back. "After all, I did it for you." He smiled. I laughed again.

"Whatever, come on. Let's get out of here." I said then headed out towards the school yard.

"Brayden Clay Johnson!" I looked up to see Mrs.Johnson storming over to us. I switched my focus onto Brayden who looked a bit scared.

"Mom." He said respectfully.

"You're in deep trouble. Your punishment will be decided upon tonight when you get home." Brayden looked defeated and instantly I felt responsible. So I didn't make him pull the alarm but I did say I was bored and he only tried to help, so in a way it was my fault.

"Mrs.Johnson, don't punish Brayden." I said causing her to pause. "The fire alarm was my fault. I was bored and thought it would be fun." Technically I told the truth. It was my fault and in the end I thought it was fun. She looked from me to Brayden then back to me. She sighed and looked defeated.

"Skylar there's no way I believe it was you. You would never do something so stupid, Brayden on the other hand would. I can't punish you for something you didn't do."

"But I-"

"Save it Skylar. She knows I did it." Brayden sighed.

"Then it's settled. Go find your teacher for this period check in and stay with the class. Once the sprinklers go off everyone will head inside grab their things and then head home." We nodded and obeyed. I left Brayden and went searching for my own class.

"Woods." Called the teacher.

"Here." I replied. Knowing I was the last person in roll call we headed back to the school. It wasn't fun being in wet clothes picking up wet papers and soggy books but it had to be done. Slowly I packed all my things and headed for the parking lot. Throwing my bag in the passenger seat, I climbed in and started the car. With a deafening sound it started. The whole drive home I felt as if I was sitting in my own waste. My pants and underwear were soaked and everyone knows that wet jeans are the worst.

I made it home a bit early which could be due from speeding like a manic so that I could change but who knows. Quickly I grabbed my bag and ran inside. I made a fast dash to my room and changed into cotton shorts and a light T-shirt. Quickly I threw my hair into a messy bun. I looked in the mirror to check my reflection only to realize the small bruise on my cheek. Sighing I got some makeup and covered it up.
