I sat in fourth period fuming like a crazy woman. I had never felt the urge to punch someone so badly as I did then. Thank the heavens the bell rang before I blew up. Storming out of the room I made it to the library in record time. No matter how hungry my stomach said it was there's no way I could face everyone in the cafeteria right now.

I made my way to the back of the library where no one ever goes. I'm sure no one even knows it exist except me, the librarian, and Mary. Mary is a junior that keeps to herself. I only see her every once and awhile when she's here reading a new book. Mary is blind.

Therefore I sit in the braille section of the library. I've spent so much time here that our librarian, Ms.Dell, allowed me to bring two bean bags for Mary and I, in case we both come on the same day.

When I reached the hidden corner of the library I was surprised, there sitting in my purple bag was the new kid with a book in his lap. My anger dissolved quickly. "I'd rather have the purple chair than the pink too. Mary's favorite color is pink so I bought her that one and the one you're sitting in is mine but I guess I'll just use Mary's."

With confusion etched on his face he stared at me. "What are you doing here?" He asked. I popped down into the pink bag by his side and laughed.

"You're the new kid, shouldn't I be asking you that?"

"I meant what are you doing here in the braille section?"

"This is where I always have lunch unless someone ask me to have lunch with them." I answered. "What are you reading and why are you in this section?" I asked.

"I'm reading Pride and Prejudice for a project." He held the book up to show me. "This is where I would spend my time back at my old school when I had free time. I like the quiet." I watched him as he sat there basking in the silence.

"You're nothing like I thought you'd be." I sheepishly admitted.

"Is that a good or bad thing?" He asked laughing.

"Good, defiantly good." I smiled. "Why are you wearing sunglasses inside?" I asked causing him to instantly tense up.

"My eyes are sensitive to the lights so it's easier just to wear shades." He replied. I wanted to believe that we were making progress in the friendship department but now not so much. I knew what he said was a lie but there's no way I'm going to call him out on it so I just nodded.

"Oh." Came my reply. I studied his face. Stubble peppered his jaw line. His light pink lips where perfectly shaped. Not too thin and not too plump. For a second I wondered how they would feel pressed against mine. I quickly shook the thought away.

"I got to go." He said, hurriedly he got up and left, leaving me confused. I looked back to his seat and saw the book. Wanting to know what the book was about I walked over and picked it up. The weird thing is, the book was written in braille.

The day passed by slowly. I anxiously waited every period to see if the new kid was in my class but he never showed up. I don't know why but I wanted to see him again. The final bell rang making me sigh. I walked to my locker but stopped short seeing Tyler standing there. "What do you want?" I asked with no emotion. The halls were filled with eager students ready to head home.

"You punched me this morning." He said. I waited for him to say something else but there was only silence. I approached my locker and opened it.

"Thank you for stating the obvious." I rolled my eyes while packing the books I needed for homework tonight. The familiar grip pulled at my already bruised arm and spun me around to face him. I hissed in pain.
