I barged into the classroom only seeing red. The door slammed back into the wall causing the students and teacher to jump in surprise. "Miss Woods! I suggest you explain the sudden burst in." Mr. Atkins scolded from the chalkboard. I ignored him and walked over to Marcy who was staring in shock.

As I approached her lab table she stood and walked closer. "Sky, what's wrong?" For a moment I thought she actually cared but then I remembered how she, my best friend since first grade, had cheated with my boyfriend of two years. Power and anger rushed through me like never before. I felt as if I was invincible. Not caring about the consequences I slapped her as hard as I could.

The sharp sound was deafening in the silent room. "What the-" I slapped her again but even harder. The students gasped. Her whimper was heard and a tear ran down the side of her face. "Are you crying?" I asked shocked. I then realized I didn't care. It must have really hurt because I've seen Marcy slapped before and she never cries. She once told me that crying is for the weak. I guess this makes her weak.

"Miss Woods!" The teacher yelled.

"How dare you! We are no longer friends!" I shouted still ignoring the teacher.

"Sky please!" She begged.

"No!" I pointed to her face and took a step closer. "You don't have the right to call me Sky, it's Skylar from now on. Don't look at me, don't talk to me, and don't even try to approach me!" A stubby hand grabbed my arm and pulled me away from the red faced Marcy.

"To the principal's office now!" Mr.Atkins shouted and dragged me out of the room by the arm Tyler had a hold of just minutes ago. A thunderous growl erupted in the classroom. Once the door closed behind me Mr.Atkins squeezed my arm harder and pulled me nose to nose with himself. I winced in pain. "If you ever dare touch my niece again I'll personally punish you!" He growled out. My anger was forgotten as my arm began to throb. I winced and tried to pull away, this only caused him to grip harder.

"Ah, Mr.Atkins! You're hurting my arm!" I cried out. Animalistic growls erupted down the hall. I turned in fright and saw two towering figures. It was Brayden and his best friend Matthew.

"Get your stubby hands off her!" Brayden growled again, this time it sounded more human like. Both boys came to my aid and detached a scared looking teacher off my arm. I lightly rubbed the now bruised flesh and grimaced at the sight.

"Come here." Matthew pulled me around the corner leaving an angry looking Brayden with Mr.Atkins. "Mr.A is going to get in big trouble." Matthew shook his head all the while poking and prodding my arm to see where the internal bruising was and how much pressure he could place on it. "It's turning dark fast, do you have anything to cover it?" I nodded.

"I have a jacket in my locker." I said pointing in the direction. We walked in silence. Matthew Aguilar was a buff Hispanic with the body of a wrestler because that's exactly what he is. Since freshmen year he has won every wrestling match. Being undefeated, nobody messes with him. The only person I know that would be able to take Matthew down would be Brayden but Brayden isn't into wrestling plus they're best friends.

The new kid popped into my head. Maybe the new kid could take Matthew down? He looked strong and powerful so why not? Quickly I whisked the thought away and studied Matthew. With green eyes and black hair that he kept short and spiked, Matthew was the imagine of strength and brute force yet all he's ever been is kind to me.

Now that I think about it, I don't think any of Brayden's friends have ever held up to the stereotypical jocks, they've all been incredibly kind and well mannered. I opened my locker and grabbed a jacket and pulled it on. "Why did Mr.Atkins threaten you?" He asked closing the locker for me. He looked just as upset as Brayden did.
