The Difficult Visit

Jackies POV

As I sat with Donna waiting for my dad to be brought out I felt nervous about seeing him, " Miss.Burkhart " said a guard walking out my dad.

He was wearing an orange suit with a white shirt as he walked over we made eye contact only to make me tear up already. " Hello Princess " he greeted opening his arms, " daddy " I cried hugging him.

" It's okay honey don't cry " he whispers rubbing my back, " you have to be strong " as we parted while I nod my head.

After calming down a bit we sit down, " hello Mr.Burkhart I'm Donna " she said holding her hand out, " nice to meet you and thank you letting Jackie stay with you " said Dad shaking her hand. " Donna and her dad have been more then generous " I replied smiling, " I'm glad to know your being looked after " commented dad.

Taking a deep breath I ask the one question I've been wanting to ask, " why did you do this? " I asked with a straight expression as dad lace his fingers together before answering,

" Power Jackie.....that's all it was ever about and to show I was not just anyone " he answers looking to the side, " at one point did you ever think about me or mom? " I ask as my anger rised, " no I didn't and I regret not thinking how this would affect my family " I could see the pain in his eyes, " the humiliation of being known as the man who is guilty of embezzlement ".

Tears start forming again hearing his confession, " after you got arrested my life became a living hell I swear the principle looked at me in disgrace, my friends insulted me and forced to live in a dirty run down group home where I was still getting looks from others in worse situations " I said looking at dad in anger.

" I'm bullied more now then the first few days of your crime and mom wasn't even there I don't know where she is...I've been alone suffering daddy " as I vented out everything dad faced me with a straight - hurt like express but it was because he was hearing me for the first time.

" I'm sorry and I know that won't cut it or makeup for my crime but just know you have me and your new friends " explained Dad sincerely, " true I do " I breathed wiping my tears.

" LAST 2 MINUTES!!!! " the guard announced getting our attention..

Hugging him tightly, " be strong Princess " he said, " I will daddy and I'll try to visit " I replied before the guard came to cuff my dad.

I watched as my dad and others were taken back to there cells, " you okay? " Donna asked, " no this was harder then I thought and to be able to tell him what I feel " I explained crossing my arms with Donna's hand on my shoulder.

3:30PM

As we got on the bus to head back to town I felt a part of myself hurting more then before.

Taking time to gather my thoughts I sit by the window behind Kelso and Fez waiting for the other visitors to settle down.

The seat next to me moved thinking it was Donna I'm surprised to see Hyde, " I asked to switch seats " he answers looking forward making me smile lightly, " I hope you don't mind plus I've been a Jerk lately so hope this makes up for it " blinking a few times I speak, " your not a Jerk just shy to say things " I replied laying back into my seat.

As the bus started moving for the long ride Hyde let me rest my head on his shoulder followed by his head against mine. " No one saw anything " he said making me smile while the others looked else where.....
