Hydes POV

December 31 1977 ( 2 Hours til 1978 )

10:00PM

The final hours til 1977 was coming to its end before 1978 arrived, at this very moment the guys and myself were having circle time...

" Oh how I look forward to this new start " said Fez while eating a bag of candy, " I'm gonna say more good time and more watching Kelso still do stupid things " I replie looking to my left smiling, " hey I don't do stupid stuff....I just try and do things that look fun " explains Kelso laughing.

I noticed Eric in deep thought, " what are your plans for 78 man? " I ask looking at him, " well Donna and I have been pretty serious lately and I really want to keep it that way " Eric said looking amongst us.

" So your saying you want to keep Donna all to yourself.....GREEDY BASTARD!!!! shouts Fez, " Forman you gotta really think about what your gonna do man put some deep thought into " I said giving a nod.

" Wait so what about you and Jackie? " Kelso asks getting my attention, " what do you mean? " I ask looking at the dummy, " you two are doing good right? " he asks me, " yeah " I answer, " so what I guess he's asking Hyde is what do you see in the next say 5 years from now for you two? " asked Eric.

Not knowing if it was the words my friends were saying or the pot but hearing that question suddenly had me thinking for the first time in life.

" Hyde you there? " asks Kelso waving his hand in my face, " guys I think we spooked him " said Eric looking concerned, " we broke him!!!! " said Fez before eating a twinkie.

Jackies POV

Upstairs

Mrs.Forman, me and Donna were in the kitchen helping out with washing dishes, Eric's mom was really amazing and brave to have everyone over tonight she prepared lots of food that must of taken forever to make which was eaten within minutes.

" You really out did yourself Mrs.Forman everything was delicious " complimented Donna as she rinsed a dish, " definitely your great " I added drying the current dish in my hands, " oh you girls are so sweet and kind also big thank you for helping with the dishes " said Kitty smiling.

" Hello ladies " greets Kelso opening the fridge, " hey what's going on? " asked Donna looking at him weird, " not much just hungry " he explains looking for something. " My goodness you boys just ate what on earth made your hunger return? " asks Mrs.Forman making us go silent.

" The answer to that is were still growing " Kelso answers only to make me and Donna look at each other knowing all to well what the answer was.

11:30PM

After everything had been cleaned up the guys decided to go out to cause some mischief before the New Year, so we all went to water tower.

Kelso had stolen all of his brother Casey's firecrackers the plan was to tie them all up onto the water tower railings followed by lighting them all up at Midnight.

" Oh yeah this is going to be one very firey New Year " he explains setting up firecrackers, " this should be interesting to watch " said Steven as he the right side of the tower followed by me hugging.

" Your very cold doll " he said touching my face, " I'm okay " I replied but the snow was starting to come down harder, " we should head down now before it gets heavier " said Eric making us all agree.

" Alright just wait one minute " said Kelso as he got on the railing to attach the last explosive, " you sure that's a good....." said Donna next thing you know Kelso loses his balance and falls to the ground " idea? " she added.

" HEY KELSO!!!! " shouts Steven, " Yea " he replies, " THAT WAS AWSOME!!! " said Steven laughing, " well at least I had a soft landing " answers Kelso as we see him slowly get up.

11:55PM

After climbing down the tower Steven took out the beers he brought along while we all awaited the New Year to come...

" A toast to our upcoming year of good times " announced Eric as we all brought our beer cans together, as we all took sips I noticed Steven take a longer sip then all of us. " You okay? " I asked looking at him, " just something on my mind " he answers bluntly.

" Do you wanna talk about it? " I ask only to see him uncomfortable, " hold that thought....would you guys stop staring " he said looking at the others as they walk away abit.

Facing me he takes a deep breath, " Jackie I love you but....what's going to happen next? " he asks shocking me completely.

Hydes POV

Ever since the circle that question Forman asked me has been running through my mind.

" Jackie I don't know what's coming for us in the future and I don't know if I'll be able to give you what you deserve or if I'm the right man for you " I breathed looking at her surprised look.

" What made you say this? " she asks with concern, " me and the guys were talking til Eric asked where we'll be in say 5 years " I explained looking up at the sky momentarily, " oh baby...I'll be honest I hope we're together for as long as we can " she answers blushing which made me look at her.

" Steven I don't know where I see myself after I graduate high school but the one thing I do know is that I hope we're still after and that no matter what happens next we'll figure it out " said Jackie only to make me hug her tightly.

" Hey guys 2 minute " said Fez as he and Kelso got lighters out, taking my hand we go up to everyone....

" 10....9.....8....7....6....5....4......3.....2....1 "

Once the fuse was lit a spark was going up to the firecrackers only for nothing to happen....

" HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! " shouts Fez which got us going too...

" Well that sucks they didn't go off " sighed Kelso in disappointment, " yeah let's head back " said Donna as we started walking back to our cars. But I stopped Jackie and leaned in to kiss her.

" Can you do one thing for me " I said leaning onto her forehead, " what is it? " she asks holding my face, " stay with me " I reply smiling, " not just awhile but always " I add making her giggle lightly then kiss my lips again.

Suddenly out of no where the firecrackers started going off lighting up the water tower....

" OH YEAH NOW IT'S WORKING!!!!! " shouts Kelso as we watch the bright lights go off, but then police sirens could be heard coming and we all get out of the area.
