The Spring Dance

Normal POV

Point Place High School

10:00AM

Students were scurrying the halls to get to there classes, " is it time to go home yet? " asked Kelso walking with Fez, Donna and Jackie, " no its only second period " laughed Donna, " I agree why can't we just go home " said Fez.

Just then Eric and Hyde showed up, " hey guys " greeted Eric just as he was about to say something " hey check it out " said Fez looking at the poster that 2 students just put up.

" OH YEAH SPRING DANCE!!!! " shouted Kelso, " you know what that means " he added in excitement, " I'm a little lost " said Jackie looking at Donna who rolled her eyes, " well usually after the spring dance one of the jocks holds there annual after party at some secret location " explains Donna.

" Okay but I don't get why Kelso is excited " said Jackie, " oh its because gaureented to be set up is a very small make out tent " answered Kelso only to grin wider, " ah the makeout tent such memories very dirty memories " sighed Fez.

" Dude you never been in it " said Eric only to make Fez smile disappear, " sadly that is true " he replied. Suddenly the bell rang making the group scatter to there classes.

Jackies POV

I was currently in study hall working on an assignment for biology which sucked, but every so often my mind went back to the spring dance. It sounded like fun and reminded me of the same dance my other school would be having around this time.

But without any spending money on hand or ask for it whenever I wanted, I couldn't go. What little money I had went personal necessities, definitely a huge leap of lifestyle.

I even went as far as to selling my fanciest dresses to thirft stores and pawn my jewelery. Sadly I didn't get much but it was better than nothing.

After School

3:30PM

Donna and I were walking to town talking about her going to the dance with Eric which she couldn't wait for, I was happy for her. " Okay time to get a dress " she said smiling as we approached a second hand store, " your getting a dress here? " I asked looking around.

" Yeah I'm not into fancy dresses and honestly you can find amazing stuff here " she explains looking through the racks, " so you going to the dance? " I stopped breathing for a moment. " I don't know " I answered looking at a shirt.

" I think you should go have fun " encouraged Donna making me smile, " who knows maybe someone will ask you to go with him " she added referring mostly to Hyde, " I'll admit it would be nice if he did ask me but I can't afford a dress or the other stuff to get ready " I explained knowing well I only had a few dollars in my pocket.

" I know what we could do " said Donna getting my attention....

Hydes POV

Eric's Basement

Leo gave me the day off from the photo hut so the guys and I were currently in our usual hang out watching TV.

" Donna and me are going to the dance so we're set " announced Eric, " same here I've asked a few already " said Kelso grinning, " so tell us which one said no " I asked smiling only to get no answer from him, " that's what I thought " I laughed watching the TV.

" I'm going to be asking that cheerleader Jane to see if she wants to go to the dance with me " said Fez only to get all three of us to stare, " yeah um good luck with that " said Eric patting his shoulder.

" So Hyde you gonna ask Jackie? " said Kelso walking up to me, " you know me guys I don't go to dances and never will " I replied " seriously Hyde? I thought you would since you figured it out " said Eric, " figure what out Forman? " I asked.

" Oh my American clueless friend it is so obvious that you Steven Hyde is in love with the beautiful flower known as Jackie " explained Fez smiling, " yeah what he said " said Kelso.

Looking at the 3 idiots before me I take a moment to think about what they just said followed by closing my eyes.....

5 Minutes Later

The basement was filled with the smoke of burning pot, " nope not asking her to the dance " I answered, " so does that mean I can take her " said Fez in excitement but when I heard him say that my chest got tight.

" Well if Hyde said he's not taking her then I say go for it " Kelso replied, " come on guys be a bit more nice " said Eric, " you know what this is pointless " I said leaving the circle.

20 Minutes Later

After walking the whole neighborhood trying to clear my thoughts about everything from the dance, should or shouldn't I ask Jackie to go with me and everyone bugging me about my feelings.

Upon returning to the Forman house I see through the window Donna and Mrs.Forman in the living room with a box of sewing box.

" Okay it's on " said Jackies voice, " come on down sweetie let's see " said Mrs.Forman. My eyes weny to the stairs and at that moment Jackie comes down wearing a dress that made me stop breathing.

She looked beautiful and it showed her small figure, " okay so what I can do is hem it a little and add this silk belt then off to the ball " laughed Kitty carefully putting pins in, " see I told you looking through the racks at the thrift store was a good idea " said Donna helping Mrs.Forman pin.

" Thank you guys this is making me excited for the dance now " breathed Jackie trying not to cry. The more I watched her smile I suddenly noticed a glow and it made me go weak, " she deserves it " I thought to myself which also made me decide.

Taking a deep breath I opened the front door getting there attention, " Steven I thought you were downstairs with Eric and the others " said Kitty looking at me, " Uh I was but I went for a walk " I explained keeping my eyes on Jackie.

" You okay? " asked Donna but I only nodded as I walked up to Jackie, " you look really pretty Jackie " I said only to get a smile from her, " thank you " she replied. Taking a deep breath I said it right there " Jackie would you like to go to the dance with me? " I exhaled.

Blush suddenly appeared on her cheeks " I'd love to Steven " she answered making me smile, " Cool " I replied. " Oh I wish I had the camera " laughed Kitty as Donna smiled.
