Jackies POV

1:00AM

It all happened so fast......

I was cleaning up in the back and as I was about to go up front the whole place was filling up with smoke. I was so scared before I know what was happening more smoke came, with the lack of air I coughed like crazy and passed out.

" JACKIE " I remember hearing someone call my name as I was unconscious it almost sounded like Steven, all I could think of was him at the moment. " Steven " I whispered.

" She's regaining consciousness...Miss...Miss...can you hear us " asked a man holding a mask to my mouth giving me air. Opening my eyes I look around not recognizing where I was.

" Jackie " said Steven but when I looked at him he was laying on his stomach while his back was getting treated, " Steven " I said reaching my hand out to him which he grabbed.

Tears ran down from the side of my face...

Normal POV

Hospital

Donna and Bob burst through the doors when Red, Eric, Fez and Kelso were waiting.

" Is it true? Did the diner catch fire?" Donna asked worried, " yeah half the place got burnt pretty good " said Eric, " what about Jackie and Hyde? " asked Bob looking around.

" Oh my newest hero is incredible he risked getting killed for Jackie " said Fez in triumph, " yeah Hyde ran into the place saving Jackie and her boss but he got some burns on his back " explained Kelso, " wow that brave mam saved my girl " said Bob crying.

" But Mr.Pinciotti Jackie isn't your daughter " said Eric in confusion, " I know but since taking her in I saw her more as a daughter as she is a sister to Donna " explains Bob looking at Donna who has tears falling.

" Your right dad Jackie is like a sister to me and if something horrible had happened to her then....." unable to finish Donna cried holding Eric, " I'll give Steven credit for doing what he did but he's a brave idiot to have run into a burning building " said Red.

Kitty finally arrived in the waiting room, " Mom " said Eric going up to her, " are they okay? " asked Bob, " tell us please!!! " said Fez frantically.

Taking a breath Kitty spokes, " They're both going to pull through.... Jackie just suffered lack of oxygen and a few burns and Steven has a burnt area on his back " she explains " Jackie can go home tomorrow but Steven needs to stay for a few days " added Kitty making everyone reliefed.

Hydes POV

I stared at the hanging bag containing clear liquid that reliefed me of the pain my body was going through. While I still laid flat on my stomach my eyes moved to the bed next to me where Jackie was laying sleeping soundly.

They put an oxygen tube on and had a couple burns on her arm and shoulders but as for me I got a few good burns on my back that skin peeled away, but hurt like hell. All I had covering me were sheets and blankets that was on my waist.

Mrs.Forman nearly fainted when she saw me and Jackie being rushed into emergency, she assisted with treating our injuries and got us in a room together.

I heard light moans coming from Jackie moving in her sleep followed by seeing her eyes open, " Steven " she breathed seeing me, " I'm here baby " I said trying not to move. Jackie got out of her bed, " stay put " I ordered but being stubborn she came over to me.

" Steven I can't believe what you did " she cried cupping my face gently, " I wasn't going to lose you " I explain moving her hair away from her face. Gently pressing her lips onto mine I kiss back, this wouldn't be happening if I didn't show up.

" Jackie!!! You need to rest " said Mrs.Forman walking into the room with everyone, " hi everyone " greeted Jackie as Donna helped her into bed.

" Hey man " said Eric coming to my side, " oh Hyde you must be in alot of pain? " asked Fez looking at my back, " no worries Fez this pain was worth it " I replied looking at Jackie who was getting tucked in.

All of a sudden a hard slap was on my back directly on the burn causing me to yell into the pillow, " Kelso you Dumbass don't hit the burn " said Red yelling at the idiot. " What I thought it was all better " explained Kelso getting a look from everyone.

Taking a few breaths to forget the pain I feel it ease down, " Kelso man if I could I'd be kicking your ass right now " I said, " heard your gonna be here a few days " said Donna sitting on Jackies bed.

" Yeah but at least I get a comfy bed " I joked only making my friends laugh, " Hyde your a brave man to do what you did " said Bob smiling at me, " thanks Bob " I replied, " yeah your quite the brave guy Steven " added Red.

" Okay everyone I hate saying this but visiting hours are over " announced Mrs.Forman getting everyone's attention, " we'll come by tomorrow guys " said Donna walking over to me, " just take it okay " instructed Bob hugging Jackie.

" Well I can't really move now but will do " I said as everyone left, " okay get some rest you 2 and I'm so glad your both safe " said Mrs.Forman giving a kiss on the forehead before she left.

Jackie laid on her side looking at me, " I can't believe you risked yourself for me " she said, " I wasn't ready to loose the only good that's come into my life " I replied feeling exhaustion kick in, " oh Steven " she sighed watching her eyes fighting to stay open.

2 Days Later

Jackie was able to go home the day before while I still needed medical attention. Everyone would come hang out with me, Kelso mentioned alot of stupid acts he had done which made me laugh.

When Mrs.Forman came on her shift she brought me dinner because the hospital was horrible and Jackie still needed to rest so she couldn't visit me sadly but I was going to be out in 2 more days.

9:00PM

After looking through another national geographics magazine I was ready to call it a day and sleep.

" Steven " greeted the one voice I missed, " Jackie? " I asked turning my head to see her standing at the door holding a plate. Walking up to me she immediately kisses me, " I miss you " she whispers, " same what are you doing here? " I asked while she sat on a chair.

" I had to come visit you being in bed all day isn't fun " she explained caressing my face, " I hear ya but if you want you can keep me company in bed " I teased making her blush, " maybe when your better...I brought you a treat " she said showing me a piece of pie.

" Nice " I said looking at it as she broke a piece of, " I hope it's good I made it today " she explains nervously, " one way to find out " I answered opening my mouth so that I can taste her creation.

After a few chews I exhale heavily, " wow just like Miss.Todds if not better " I replied smiling, " really? She was showing me how to make but I'm glad to get it right " she answers feeding me more.

2 Days Later

1:00PM

I walked out of the hospital with Jackie in my arms and Red who came to pick me up.

" Yes freedom " I said as we got to the car, " everyone's back at the house eagerly awaiting for your return Steven " explained Red smiling, " can't wait to get home and see everyone " I replied smiling, " and mostly get to be with you Jackie " I add before kissing her.

" Alright enough of that you 2 before I make you walk home " said Red as we got into the car.
