Love For Christmas

Jackies POV

December 24 1977

The Diner

12:00PM

I looked out the window seeing the snow continuing to fall, it was snowing lightly throughout the whole month but of all days it's coming down harder.

It's been a slow day and if anyone came in, it was mostly only for coffee and something to go.

" Geez this snow isn't looking like it's going to stop soon " said Miss.Todds sounding worried, " I know I hope Steven will be okay in coming to get me " I said getting scared myself, " you know what let's close up sweetie plus I don't think anyone's stopping " she announces getting me excited.

" Really? We can close? " I ask only jumping, " yeah its Christmas and we both have family to get to " said Miss.Todds walking behind the counter, " cool I'll turn the sign off " I said while going up front but as I was at the door it opened and walking in was Steven.

" Oh my god baby...what are you doing here? " I asked hugging him tight, " the snow was coming down hard so I thought I'd come by and see if everything was cool " he explains only making me kiss him " mmmm now I'm glad I did " he added while I smile.

" Actually your timing is perfect were closing up " I replied going to the counter as he followed, " nice " he said sitting on a stool while I poured him hot coffee.

6:40PM 

After saying farewell to Miss.Todds and letting me take home some baked goods we managed to make it home safely. Mrs.Forman invited Donna, Bob and me for a party later on which also gave me time to wrap Steven present.

I really wanted to give him something that he would love and so I'm giving Steven a watch with engravings on the back....

" Make all the memories count " love Jackie ♡

My cheeks warm up while wrapping the gift, I'm hoping tonight will be a great Christmas not just for having the amazing people that helped me but for Steven.

* knock knock *

" Come in " I said tying the ribbon on the gift with Donna opening the door, " hey were just about to head over ready? " she asked smiling, " yeah I'm just finishing this " I replied showing my gift, " cool, I'm guessing for Hyde? " asks Donna curiously, " yeah I hope he likes it " I breath.

" He will and he's definitely going to appreciate it alot since it's from the girl he loves " said Donna, " I hope you know I thought I wasn't going to be able to get through my first Christmas without my family but I do have a family and they mean the world to me " I explain trying not to tear up.

Donna comes closer and hugs me tightly, I wasn't sure what I could do to ever repay her and Bob for there kindness but one day I hope to.

11:15PM

When we arrived at the Formans we all had a great time enjoying the spirit of the holidays, especially Fez who was out drunk of his mind to the point Red kept saying he was going to toss him out into the snow.

Hyde and I enjoyed one another's company but then at around 10 a clock he wasn't around, even after looking downstairs in the basement where I thought him and the others would have circle time there was no sign of him.

I couldn't have the heart to ask the Formans or anyone else because they were all enjoying themselves, so quietly I snuck out. I even noticed that the El Camino was still parked, looking around I tried to think of where he could of gone.

30 Minutes Later

After walking around the neighborhood I still searched for Steven I was getting nervous and scared, " oh baby where are you? " I asked out loud walking to an unknown area I wasn't familiar with.

Alot of the houses here were a bit run down but a few of them clearly had residents, some had Christmas lights displayed on the porch or windows.

Slowly looking around I notice one in particular that was really out of shape and no door in the front, my eye caught a light coming from inside so I approached with caution.

Once up the few steps I went in and there with a candle lit was Steven....

Hydes POV

I snuck out of the Formans Christmas party for some personal alone time, even though the holidays were about family and peace on earth to me it didn't mean much.

When I spent my first Christmas with Eric and his family, they made me feel welcome. Mrs.Forman was so kind she spoiled me with nice gifts and cooked lots of my favorite dishes for dinner.

I still wasn't accustom to so much giving during the holidays that I eventually found myself wandering around town til I found myself back at my shit hole house where my own mother abandoned me for some fling.

I hate admitting it but I was missing this place, not alot but somewhat mostly because I had privacy whenever Edna was having her drunk moments even as a kid I knew when to expect her craziness to kick in.

And since Christmas was always a disappointing time of year for me I lit a candle when my mom was either passed out or absent. In some way I use to see it as a my own star that would shine for me, it's corny but it's what I saw.

Letting out a heavy breath I take out the can of beer I snuck out from the fridge and opened it, " Merry Christmas " I said before taking a sip, " Steven? " said someone from behind only to make me choke.

Coughing a bit I stand up from my seat to see Jackie, " what are you doing here? " I asked shocked to see her, " I didn't see you at the party and I was worried " she explains walking up to me.

Looking at her as she comes closer my mind goes blank, " did you seriously come out in the freezing cold to look for me? " I asked only to see her nod, " Jackie why? " I added while she stood in front of me, " because you mean more to me then anything in life " she answers smoothing my cheek.

My hands run through her dark locks that feel like silk in my fingers, closing my eyes while resting my forehead against her cold flesh I sigh heavily. " I can't believe you did that " I whisper, " I don't want to loose Steven we both keep one another going in life " she breathed hugging me close.

" I do need you Jackie I do " I said putting my arms around her, " also I wanted to give you this " Jackie explained pulling out a gift from her purse, " you didn't have to " I sighed taking her gift. " Open it " she encouraged smiling as I unwrapped it.

Once opened I smile seeing a beautiful watch, " this is nice " I replie, " look on the back " added Jackie smiling as I turn it over my heart warms up seeing the engraving, " Baby this definitely means alot " I breath putting it on, " I'm glad you like it " she replies kissing my lips.

" Which is why I'm glad I got you this " I explained pulling out a small box from my pocket, " Steven " said Jackie in shock opening the gift to reveal a bracelet with an engraving on the tag....

" Stay with me Always " Your Truly Hyde

A tear slid down her face as she smiled, " it's beautiful thank you " she cried as I assisted in putting it on for her, " I thought you might like it you can even add charms to it " I explained.

" I actually kinda like just how it is again thank you " she replies before we kiss passionately, " Merry Christmas Jackie " I greet, " Merry Christmas Hyde " she greets only to make me smile hearing her call me Hyde.
