Lauren's P.O.V

The day hadn't started well when I awoke to Santana's screams about Quinn had left the bedroom window open. Attended classes in a bad mood and ignored Camila like has on my survival protocol. I was embarrassed to have been caught in a moment of weakness, as much as I would never admit it out loud. Amazingly, she didn't run after me or gave me lectures or moral lessons, just sat there with a sulky face and sometimes furtive glances at me. I don't know if she thinks we would have something after the fact in the Astronomy Tower, but I expect she to be mature enough to understand that no, however I was totally attracted to her.

About the students, the subject was divided between cheering or not for a Slytherin girl or the mysterious choice of the cup with the name of Potter. Bartemius Crouch was very clear about the rules, the boy could not go back and give up, he was one of us now. However, he was innocent enough to sign up knowing that doesn't mature enough for such a contest, and if what he says is true, someone was undercover at the school trying to kill him.

I kept leaning against the railing window watching the group of girls from Beauxbatons chatting in the garden, Fleur looked like a delicate girl for the tournament in my point of view, and Vitor a airhead.

I had weak competitors.

"I need you to be clear to me, Lauren. Why you signed up for the tournament?", Dumbledore asked.

He was standing behind me as watched me. It was another of our meetings unfounded where he questioned about my lifestyle.

"Not everything has an answer", I replied without taking my eyes from the window. "You should be worry about the boy"

On reflection, I could see him walking from one side to the other.

"I care about both of you. I believe Harry when he says he didn't put his name, but I don't believe you when you say that you signed up for no reason"

He had this thing to enter your mind and take things without you noticing. Draco says I should hate him for being of the Order, but the truth is I don't blame them for doing their job. My parents who hid fugitives, they resisted, I'm mature enough to take it. Since I entered this school, Dumbledore has accompanied me and been good to me and as much as I hate to admit it, there is a bond between us as if he were the only friend whom I could trust in this place.

"I just want to test my limits. I'm tired of this monotonous life and a bit of challenge will make me good, if I end up dying it won't be a problem"

"And now the two kids of the prophecy are on the same side", he said and I turned confused about what he had said. "You know, you two represent Hogwarts. I think you two need to come together"

Shook my head not believing that he expected that I unite myself with Potter.

"I'm alone, director", I protested squinting. "I'm not going to babysit anyone in this competition and I don't care about the prophecy, you know that"

I deeply admired the patience of that man had with me. Sometimes even I don't bore with myself, even someone who comes from me in the first year trying to infiltrate in my intimate, but had nothing.
