"This girl is a dead weight in our family, a disgrace to those who know her true origin." Her uncle Lucius said in the living room to the big, blond man. Little Lauren was sitting on the floor upstairs watching everything through the stair railing. "She is stubborn, asks too many questions, and at the age of six she knows how to conjure some spells without her wand. I can barely sleep in peace without being afraid that she will destroy the house at night."

"You know very well that she is only a child, Lucius. Draco seems to like her a lot."

"I already warned you about this girl. One day Draco will understand that they weren't born to be friends, and that her place is far from here."

The man shook his head and took a sip of the wine in his glass.

"It would have been easier to just eliminate her and the prophecy would fail."

"Don't be a fool. The Dark Lord wants her alive and beside him, it's my job to get her to choose this side, otherwise I'll be in big trouble."

"What if she refuses?"

Lucius hesitated.

"Then the Lord will kill one of the siblings."

"Hold the girl!" A voice, which could easily be Snape's, echoed in the distance. Agonized cries could be heard, but it was impossible to know who they were. "What are we going to do with her? There are many people here."

I met Potter on the stairs, he waited for his turn as usual. He seemed nervous now, as if afraid to be scolding for something he didn't, looking at me expectantly.

I felt my body being positioned on a soft surface. The sound of screams and wind outdoors were gone. Everything was silent, calm and warm. I tried to move, open my eyes or speak, but my body didn't respond to the actions of my brain.

Our wands lit up and our patrons floated around each other until they were on the ground. My jaw dropped as I realized that Camila's patron was a snake.

"Your patron is a lion." she laughed. "How ironic can it be?"
