One thing I forgot to say on the last chapter. Some things had to be changed. Like: The Triwizard Tournament is for over 16 and Ginny is in the sixth grade, so she's older than Ron.
--------------------
The day had barely dawned and I was stuck in that room waiting for Dumbledore and his endless monologues about my education, my potential and pretending to care about what happens to me. Cursed when I saw the parchment that owl brought me while I was returning drunk from Hogsmeade, ae night that I wanted to forget. He knew about the parties, Dumbledore always knew and I though he never spoke or told someone else and if he told that person was omitted just like him. The strangest fact is that the old man called me every year at least 5 times during the school year just to talk, wonder if I'm okay or if I have lost control easily. Are meaningless questions it doesn't do to others unless Potter, I know that, because the boy always enters the room after me as if we had an appointment with the director. I hope that has nothing to do with the connection of our wands and Dumbledore not simply resolve to come together as a team or something, my answer would be the same as the Death Eaters: No.
I relaxed my body in the chair letting my arms down and my eyes lost in Phoenix in solitary perch behind the table. Dumbledore cleared his throat calling my attention, but I have not turned my attention of the bird that seemed so much more interesting.
"You didn't tell me how was your first day, Lauren", he said quietly, his blue eyes and watching me under the moon glasses as he crossed his hands on the table.
Although not believe hir concern, I kept a certain affection for the old man. At least he didn't mind taking a few minutes of their business for me, something uqe no one else would, not since the death of my parents. Something I have in common with Potter, Dumbledore might be fascinated by young people who have lost parents brutally murdered.
"I don't complain, I spent all day locked in the dorm undoing my bags", I shrugged.
"I saw you given up Muggle Studies this year, as plans to infiltrate their world if don't study them?"
He knew about my little obsession with Muggle world and my goal to live amongst them away from all this shit that's been going on in the wizarding world.
"This class is boring, sir", I rolled my eyes. "I don't need to know about the most famous writers or politicians. I want to know about the culture, the different cultures, music, something that makes sense"
Dumbledore smiled kindly, I swear I hated that nice side of him all the time. People always have a dark side, but this old man never showed her, was always in a good mood and being patient even when I went beyond the limits.
I returned my gaze to the Phoenix, who kept staring at me, why this bird seem so sad?
"It can rise from the ashes, you know?"Dumbledore said and I didn't have to ask to know that referred to the bird. Fawkes is old and tired, will soon be on fire.
"Just like many people", I muttered.
"Just like you"
I looked at Dumbledore disgusted with his observation.
"I'm feeling much better, thank you", shut the expression getting up from his chair and walked to the glass.
The day was already dawning, which means I needed immediately back to the dorm and get ready for class.
"We both know that just as the Phoenix, you'll have your chance to be reborn, Lauren. You don't need to live with this bitterness all your life, Michael and Clara's death wasn't your fault, like this possible war and the wand's choice"
