"Luke, hey, wake up," Calum was crooning to Luke, kissing lightly on the side of the taller boy's neck. Luke and Calum had slept in the same abode bed the night they woke up and Calum bore a new scar, his neck now scarred and spelling LR.

It was weird, knowing that a word would be spelled from those two letters. There weren't many words that began with 'LR' so this only made Calum more quizzical than ever.

"Lukey, baby, get up," Calum whined, dragging out the 'u' in 'up.'

Luke groaned and shuffled in his spot. "I don't wanna."

"Hey, grand chief of The Glade, thought you were leader here? Unless you trust me to take over for you?" Calum quirked an eyebrow at Luke teasingly, sitting up and yawning.

That got Luke's attention and the blond boy groggily propped himself up on his elbows, yawning as well. He sat up completely and looking over at Calum through tired blue eyes.

Before Calum could do as much as open his mouth to speak, Luke rolled over into Calum's lap, straddling him, Calum leaning his back against the cold wall that acted like the headboard of the abode bed. Both boys were still in their boxers, nothing more.

"Luke, not now," Calum sighed, but the affection in his eyes said otherwise as Luke leaned towards him, cocking his head sideways and attaching his lips to Calum's neck.

Calum let out a loud breath, his eyes fluttering as Luke sucked on his sweet spot, that familiar cold lip ring sending chills through his body.

"I love you," Luke mumbled against Calum's warm skin as he bit at the older boy's earlobe, tugging it between his teeth. Calum's fingers tangled through Luke's slightly curly, messy blond hair that used to be in a quiff before the previous night.

"I know," Calum replied breathily, his chest heaving as he pulled Luke's hair lightly and guided him in for a sweet kiss.

Their lips moved slowly, softly even; there was really no lust or aggression, only love that lit the flame in their chests.

Once the kiss was broken, their foreheads simply rested together and the couple -if you could call them that- simply stared into each other's eyes, blue eyes contrasting brown, and for several minutes they stayed like that. Luke traced and drew little patterns on Calum's lower back with his fingertips while Calum fiddled with Luke's golden hair, before cupping his cheek and Luke leaned in to the touch, closing his eyes at last.

And in that moment Calum knew for sure that he loved Luke, fuck, he loved every inch of that boy inside and out. The way he knew every curve and crevice of the blond boy's body, able to trace each feature of his body with his fingertips, glad it was all committed to memory. He was glad he was the only one able to taste Luke's lips, like breathing in fumes of stardust to bring your lungs to life. Luke was his oxygen and who knows, Calum might not really be alive without him.

But this led Calum to wonder, while his eyes got lost in Luke beautiful face, what hurt more - Saying something and then regretting it the second you say it, or saying nothing at all and wishing you had?

Calum wanted to say it, those three words that held his tongue like a cat's claws.

Yet, he didn't.
And for some reason, Calum felt that he would find out which one hurt more all too soon.
