Becoming Janie

Oh Happy Days :)

I had - had doubts earlier on, but now i had none.

"I would love to Troy !".

He grinned. "Great ! and do you know, you're the prettiest Girlfriend i've ever had".

I blushed, smiling. "Aww thanks. You're the handsomest Boyfriend i've ever had". There was no competition but Troy didn't need to know that.

I wasn't sure who to tell First. My Mum or Ruby. They would both be stoaked for me and want to know so it was a hard choice. Ruby, i decided, my Mum would probably ring around and have it all around the neighbour hood before i even got home from School and i would be breaking the best friend code by not telling Ruby First.

In all my thinking i had forgotten i was still with Troy. He was looking at me strangely.

"Everything okay Janie ?".

"Yeah, i'm just deciding if i should tell Ruby or my Mum first".

Troy laughed. "Oh the worries of being a Girl".

I laughed. "Yeah, you got it".

"Well i got to go. I promised Mum i would run a few errands for her on my way home but, i'll text you later okay ?".

I smiled. "Okay".

Troy leaned in and kissed me but i wasn't nervous this time. It was so much better when your first kiss was over an done with.

I watched Troy walk away. Man he was fit from behind. I could see Cobie in his car tapping the steering wheel impatiently. He would be worried about getting to work on time so i hurried over and hopped in. Still grinning from ear to ear.

"What have you done ?". Cobie asked suspiciously.

"Nothing". I answered defensively.

"Why have you got that creepy smile on your face then Sis ?".

I rolled my eyes. "Gee thanks".

Cobie grinned, "No problem, you can always count on me to keep it real for you. So why the smile ?".

I couldn't stop the grin that spread across my face. "I've got a Boyfriend now !".

"Troy ?".

I beamed. "Yup !".

Cobie grinned. "Congratulations Jane !".

I smiled. "Thanks !".

Cobie was suddenly serious. "If he hurts you i will beat him up".

I rolled my eyes. "Cobie omg !".

"I'm just saying".

I couldn't be angry at Cobie for long and was soon smiling again.

I flicked Ruby a quick text. 'Troy is now my Boyfriend ! :D yes !!'.

I danced through the kitchen door when we arrived at my house. Mum was watching me strangely from the breakfast bar.

I ran over to her and threw my arms around her neck. "Thanks for signing me up to Glee Club Mum !".

"What's wrong with Janie ?". Mum asked Cobie suspiciously.

Cobie rolled his eyes. "She has a Boyfriend now".

Mum's eyebrows shot up. "Really ? who ?".

"Troy". I smiled.

"Troy Salem ?".

I grinned. "Yup !".

Mum threw her arms around me. "Oh Janie honey congratulations !. I must go phone Troy's Mother !". She bustled off to find the phone.

I danced up the stairs to my room and flopped myself on my bed. I had Two new messages.

The First was from Ruby. 'Omg !! yay :D. Call me later and tell me everything !'.

The Second was from Troy. 'Hey beautiful :). I am home now. Miss you already !'.

I couldn't stop smiling. He was just so sweet.

I replied to both texts and lay back on my bed, staring at the ceiling.

I couldn't believe it. I , Janie Ella Evans, now had a Boyfriend and would actually enjoy going to Glee Club this Saturday.

Life was good.
