"How?" Troy asked me excitedly.

I grinned at him. "All I need to do is focus on you, pretend that no one else is there and that I'm only singing to you."

Troy grinned at me. "Jane! That's perfect!"

I smiled and grabbed his hand to continue walking. I felt a lot better now that I had an idea how to get through this competition and maybe- just maybe I wouldn't fail.

We were at the restaurant down the road now. It was called the Luna Bar and it looked amazing! It also looked very posh and expensive and I was suddenly very grateful to Mrs Salem for the fifty dollar gift voucher she had given Troy and I with the explanation that we had done so well in glee club and she thought we deserved a treat. Suddenly, I liked Troy's mum a whole lot better now.

"Wow!" Troy exclaimed, obviously mirroring my thoughts. "This place looks amazing!"

I grinned at him. "Doesn't it though? Wow, your mum is so nice for buying us a voucher to here. If I was her I would probably keep it and use it on myself."

Troy gave me a funny look before smirking at me. "Wait, you think she brought it for us?"

I looked at him in confusion. "Yeah?"

Troy laughed while keeping that smirk on his face. "Jane, she gets vouchers to this place free through her work."

I laughed along with him. Mrs Salem, you sly dog.

"Can I help you?" A pretty girl that looked to be only a couple of years older than Troy and I had appeared beside us. She was clearly a waitress.

I smiled at her. "Table for two please?"

"Certainly miss." She smiled and lead us over to a private table in the far corner. I smiled to myself, she was so friendly. No one had ever called me miss before. That I could remember anyway.

"Thank you." Troy smiled at her as she handed us two menus.

"No problem sir." She smiled at Troy, before turning to get a notepad out of her apron pocket. "Are you ready to order drinks now?"

I studied the menu while Troy ordered his coke, I didn't know why I was reading it so thoroughly, I knew very well that I would settle on my usual; a raspberry and coke.

I looked up and blushed, realising that the waitress and Troy were politely waiting for me to order.

"Raspberry and coke please." I smiled sheepishly at her. She smiled back at me, clearly not bothered with having to wait.

"I'll be back soon with your drinks and to take your food orders." She said before leaving.

I took a moment to look around the restaurant. This place was obviously popular there were about twenty other people seated at various places around the room. I was glad I had been able to experience coming here. I had only been here five minutes and already it had moved to the number one spot on my favourite restaurants list.

I looked back at Troy. "So, are you excited for Nationals?"

A grin lit up his face, letting me know that he was. "Oh Janie, I absolutely love the Nationals competition, it's probably the best one that we compete in and it's even better for me now that the girl I like will be competing alongside me."

I smiled at his sweet words before recalling his words. A frown appeared on my face."Wait- you compete in more than one competition?"

Troy grinned. "Yup! There is sectionals at the start of the year, then there's a competition that we do every year for charity and then there is Nationals at the end of the year."
