"Now that we know a bit about each other we are going to get around to what songs we will be doing for Nationals." Oh god, they had a singing contest coming up. That meant I would probably have to learn some songs that they had already been singing. Thanks Mum.

"Okay so we aren't singing songs that we have been learning in class. It's meant to be a fun competition so everyone goes around the circle and you all have to pick one song you would love to sing and we will see about getting it onto the set list. It can be any genre. Your favourite song if you like, starting with you Eliott?"

"She Talks To Angels by The Black Crowes" Oh my Eliott and I actually had something in common. I loved that song.

"The Climb by Miley Cyrus" A girl named Hannah Beckers said. Ugh I hoped that one didn't make it on to the set list.

"Some Where I Belong by Linkin Park."

My ears perked up with interest. Linkin Park was my favourite band. I had to look and see who had suggested that song. It was a boy named Juckson Shepherd. Yip you read right. Juckson not Jackson. I thought his name was awesome because when you said it-it sounded as if you had an accent. His parents obviously had good taste in names and he a good taste in music. Who knows, maybe if I ever got over my fear of boys he and I could discuss good Linkin Park songs.

"Face Down by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus" said a girl named Melanie Juper.

"Parachute by Train" said a girl named Stacey Lee.

"California by Phantom Planet" said a boy named Jared Holmes. Oh my god yes! The OC theme song! I smiled to myself and I looked up to see Jared smiling at me. It would be pretty obvious to him why I was smiling. I'm sure no one would have forgotten yet my little rant from before.

"You're Beautiful by James Blunt" said a girl named Gemma Windsor.

"Hero by Skillet" said a boy named Luke Russell.

"Nothing Else Matters by Metallica" said a boy named Rory Cypher.

"I Don't Want To Be by Gavin Degraw" said a girl named Lacy James. Oh my god, double yes! One Tree Hill theme song. Once again I smiled to myself. Maybe I would enjoy glee club.

"Never See The Light by Devil Skin" said a girl named Chloe Batcher.

"Little Pills by Devil Skin" said a boy named Jaykob Husk. Chloe and Jaykob looked at each other and smiled. Maybe they would bond over music. Maybe they already had.

"Star ships by Nicki Minaj" said a girl named Janelle Docherty. I hoped that song didn't make it onto the set list either.

"Broken by Seether and Amy Lee" said a boy named Codey Burns.

Skinny Love by Birdy" said Saraya County.

Ooh it was Troy's turn. I perked my ears up to see what he would pick. "Black Chandelier by Biffy Clyro" he said. I had to restrain my mouth from dropping open. No way. That was my favourite song. I had actually been going to suggest that when it got to my turn. That was two things I had in common with Troy now.

"Mine by Taylor Swift" said Milly Endeveror.

It was my turn now. Since Troy had said my favourite song I decided to go with my favourite Linkin Park song. "L-leave Out All The Rest b-by Linkin Park." God it was embarrassing how I picked up a stutter when I was shy.

I saw someone's head jerk up from the opposite side of the circle. It was Juckson. He smiled at me and I smiled awkwardly back before looking away.

"Who you are by Jessie J" said a girl named Becky Temita.

"One Headlight by The Wallflowers" said a girl named Komisi Todd.
