The Text Message

I ended up running to the nearest McDonalds and texting Cobie to come and pick me up. He arrived Five minutes later with Ruby and a very pissed off Jamie.

"Still don't understand why you couldn't have left me there by myself". Jamie muttered for the Tenth time another Five minutes later as we were driving home.

"Yeah imagine how your Mum would take that". Cobie exclaimed.

Jamie muttered something unintelligible under his breath. He wasn't talking to me but I wasn't too worried about something like this he would get over soon enough.

"So what happened ?". Ruby asked for the Eighth time once we were safely upstairs in my bedroom.

"Troy and I kissed".

"You what ?". Ruby exclaimed. Her mouth was currently hanging open if I wasn't seeing it First hand I wouldn't believe some ones mouth could open that far.

Five minutes of painful silence later Ruby shut her mouth. Not for long though. "I think your Mum was right , I mean first you're talking to Boys' now your kissing Troy this Glee Club was a great idea".

I would never admit it to my Mum but I had to agree with Ruby.

"I ran away though".

"When ?".

"After Troy kissed me".

Ruby burst out laughing. She looked at my serious face Twice before finally stopping. "You're not joking ?".

"Why would I joke about this ?". I asked bewildered.

"Because , oh don't worry , you said something to him before you ran though right ?".

I didn't say anything.

"Right ?" Ruby asked again.

I shook my head really fast and looked at the floor.

"JANIE ! !" Ruby yelled and I flinched." You've probably damaged his ego big time not to mention given him the impression you find him repulsive".

"But I don't ! I just didn't know what to do !".

"Yeah but , he doesn't know that !".

"You don't think he will tell Courtney about this do you ?". I asked Ruby.

"I don't know I mean he was pretty pissed at her at the Skate park but then again he is a Guy and their minds work in mysterious ways so he might have forgiven her by now".

"Great". I said to myself more than anyone glumly.

Ruby and I spent the rest of the afternoon going over ways I could possibly fix what had happened with Troy, and Jamie came into my room around Three O'clock saying he promised to forgive me for dragging him away from the Skate park early if Ruby and I played Guitar Hero with Him and Cobie.

Ruby and I happily obliged. Honestly I was happy for the distraction. Ruby and I ended up winning which hurt Cobie's ego very much but he got over it once he saw what Mum had prepared for Tea. A roast Chicken.

My horrible morning had turned into a good afternoon but all too soon it ended and Ruby had to go home. Mum had said she could stay the night but Ruby's Mum made her come home with claims of not seeing her all weekend.

"I'll see you tomorrow Girl" Ruby said hugging me.

"See you Rubes". I hugged her back.

I headed to bed around Seven because I wanted to watch more of The OC before I had to sleep. It was a good episode , Ryan and Marissa finally got together and Seth got his First ever Girlfriend; Anna. Not many people liked Seth's character but I did. Seth was just so dorky he was cute. I didn't like him as much as Ryan though.
