Emotions
Such a funny concept
There's happiness
There's sadness
There's anger
There's jealousy
There's curiosity
There's love
And countless others
Like fear
Like excitement
Like ambition
You can even feel more than one
All at the same time
You could be smiling outside
Everyone believing you're happy
Yet on the inside
Your heart could be breaking
And you just want to cry
You could be thrilled
Something exciting happening
Yet you feel a bit scared
Like something bad can happen too
You can also switch emotions
Sometimes occurring rather quickly
All may be relaxing at the moment
Nothing seeming to go wrong
Everything being at peace
Until a certain song
Or a specific aroma
Or a poignant memory
Approaches your thoughts
And you break down
Cry your heart out
Or you become enraged
Smash a glass frame
Even feel horrified
Scream out into the void
It's these things
They give an outline
For each special life
That walks this world
Then leaves it
Those that person leaves
Remembers their emotional being
How they'd cry over a book
How they'd laugh at a joke
How they'd scream at a spider
Emotions also make friends
People to giggle with
People to bawl with
Even people to fall in love with
See
These feelings rule our lives
In such a manner
We'll never escape.
