REFRESHER
"Well, not to be offensive, but I kinda thought you'd have more friends," she replied bluntly. "Doesn't matter. I'll just call some of my friends." I straightened at her suggestion. She seemed to notice this and said, "It's the only way." I nodded and Takeshi patted my back. A couple of minutes later, there were some knocks on the door. I answered it and guess who was standing there?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Standing in my doorway, to my house, was Arima Kousei. Oh, yeah. His friends were standing next to him. His male friend looked at me lovingly, his brown eyes as big as saucers. "Hello! My name is Watari, Ryouta and I think you look really, really cute!" he beamed. He was kind of hot, but he was a total jock. Definitely not my type.
Arima's female friend introduced herself next (after whacking Watari on the head). "I'm Sawabe, Tsubaki," she said. "And this anti-social maniac is Arima, Kousei."
"I-I'm (Y/L/N), (Y/F/N)," I said, timidly. Arima and I traded plain expressions.
Our small moment was interrupted by Seto. "Come on, everyone! Let's get started!" I stiffened at her call. The three friends walked into the kitchen with Seto, Mom, and Takeshi.
"Hey, Arima," Takeshi said.
"Hey, Aiza," Arima replied. Mom greeted everyone and gave them some hot chocolate.
"All right, (Y/N). Begin," Seto said. I hesitantly picked up my violin and almost began playing, but I just stood there, staring at Arima. He looked kind of worried. Then I saw Takeshi nodding and I began playing. Song is video. Stop at 3:47.
When I finished, I got stares from everyone in the room. I blushed, put down the violin, and ran up to my room.
Arima's POV
It was beautiful. It was wonderful. It was almost as if the notes danced off the strings. The one thing that caught me off guard, though, was about halfway through the song, she smiled. She smiled a smile from a different world. A better world. A world where anything could happen.
I watched as Aiza ran upstairs toward the flustered girl. Ryouta ran after Aiza, and Tsubaki after Ryouta. I slowly stood up and ran towards the group that was crowded around a mahogany door. There was a pink sign on it that read "music is what feelings sound like". Happy and sad memories flooded my mind, but I ignored them for the best.
"(Y/N)! (Y/N), come on! It was perfect!" Aiza shouted through the door.
"Music is what feelings sound like!" she yelled, quoting the sign on her door. She burst through the door. "What did my music sound like to you?"
"It sounded happy!" Takashi said. (Y/L/N) stared at Takashi before making her way back downstairs. What is it with girls and having sudden outbursts? Everyone followed her as she sat down next to Takashi.
"So, (Y/N). Do you have any other talents?" Seto asked. (Y/L/N) shook her head but Aiza jumped to his feet.
"She plays piano! Really well, too!" he shouted. Everyone stared at (Y/L/N) intently. She blushed. Before Seto dragged her to a solo white piano in an empty room and sat her down. (Y/L/N) stared at the piano for a while before starting to play.
This piece was exactly like the other one. It gave you the same feeling. But, if music is was feelings sound like, this sounds conflicted. It's almost like it can't decided whether it's happy, sad, or angry. This girl has so many emotions, and they all pour out at the same time. She really intrigues me.
