Your POV
Her head was laying against my arm and I hadn't noticed that my head was laying on top of hers. I turned my head and planted a gentle kiss on her head. She smiled.
The event kept replaying itself in my mind. I was awake the entire time, and I loved it. The way he was so gentle and calming.
Takeshi used to be like that, but then he went through an awkward phase. Ever since then, we just haven't been that close. I heard a buzzing, breaking me from my thoughts.
At first I thought it was a bee, so I ended up swatting air and looking stupid. It was only then that I realized it was my phone.
I picked it up and heard a masculine voice, say "(Y/N)!!" I jerked back at the sudden howl coming through the phone.
"Takeshi?" I questioned.
"Yeah! Don't you have caller ID?"
"Uh... about tha-"
"Never mind. We need to meet up!"
"Why? Did something happen?"
"Yes! Well, no. Yes and no!"
"Takeshi, your not making any sense at all."
"No! Your not making sense, (Y/N)!"
"Just tell me what's wrong."
"No! Just meet me at the park!"
"Time, please?"
"Oh, yeah. In fifteen minutes," he said, finally calming down.
"Okay, I'll see you there."
"Bye!" he said, hanging up.
"I guess I should get ready then," I sighed. I quickly got up and brushed my (H/L) messy hair. I walked to my closet and put on my favorite green dress. I looked ready, but to top of the outfit, I got the locket Takeshi gave me, and put it on. Now I was ready.
I skipped down the stairs. Today was Sunday. The only day my mom was at work and my dad was at home. He was watching the Sunday news on the couch so I snuck up behind him and gave him a hug around the neck.
"Hey, (Y/N)," he greeted, his thick, caring voice chasing all fears from my mind.
"Hi!" I greeted back.
"What're you all dressed up for?"
"I'm going out with Takeshi," I said, playing with the bottom of my dress. Dad seemed to straighten up at that.
"Like a date?"
"No, no. Just as friends," I said, imagining Takeshi and I dating. I hate to admit that it wouldn't be that bad.
"Okay. Just be careful and back by 11," he said before kissing my cheek. "Bye (Y/N)!"
"Bye, Dad!" And I was out the door.
TIMESKIP~ Meeting Takeshi 5 minutes later
I got to the park and the cherry blossoms were in full bloom. The petals were dancing beautifully in the wind. Takeshi wasn't here yet so I sat and waited on one of the many benches.
As I was sitting there, my mind flurried back to the first day of school. It was a good but mostly bad day. Even my mother wasn't physically there, I could still feel her intimidating presence.
"Jouer. Jouer!" I could hear my mom screaming. "Jouer! Je ne me soucie pas combien il brûle!"
I felt something tug at my hair. I jerked my head around to see what it was, but my eyes met Takeshi's light blue ones. I let out a small shriek as I jumped back in the seat.
"Hehe! Sorry, (Y/N)," he said, plucking cherry blossom petals from my hair.
"I-It's okay. I really just didn't expect to see you..." I said, trailing off.
"Hey, (Y/N)," he said, almost sternly.
"Yeah?"
"You're crying," he said, wiping a tear from my eye and showing me his now tear-stained thumb. I quickly wiped my stinging eyes with my forearms. Takeshi let out a quick sigh. "You always have been a crybaby," he said, ending with a chuckle.
"I have not!" I defended.
"Then why are you always crying?"
"I just- You don't understand," I said, lowering my head.
Takeshi's POV
I sat down next to her and wrapped my arms around her. "I might understand if you told me," I whispered. She folded her legs to the side of her and I could feel her hold on to me tighter.
She began to tell me about when she told Arima about her mom. She told me about the first day of school. And she told me about the last thing. When Arima kissed the top of her head. That really pissed me off, but I tried really hard to hide it and continue to comfort the broken girl in my arms. I could feel her heart beat a little faster when she talked of him.
"I bet I can do better than Arima," I said, more to myself than to anyone else.
"Wha-" was all (Y/N) could say before I kissed her soft lips. She stiffened a bit at my action, giving me a more confident feeling that she still loves me.
After a few seconds, she quickly stood up, breaking apart our lips. "D-d-don't you think we should get going?" she said, bashfully. "I was thinking, the cafe?" I nodded and we began to leave.
At the cafe
We walked into (Y/N)'s favorite cafe. I expected to see the flowers and smell the sweet scent of coffee and pastries. Who I didn't expect to see was Arima.
