Cole's POV

Jacob was coming back to school today and we were at our regular lunch table at the back of the cafeteria.  I could see Jacob and Paul making their way towards us now. People were staring and a few pointing. Jacob hadn't been at school for quite some time, making people wonder where he was. Jacob was walking but just a little slower Paul.

Theo whistled and I clapped as they approached, making Jacob scowl.

"What about The Raiders? We still don't have a good idea to get back at them." Thayer said angrily as they sat down.

"It has to be an equally bad enough thing as they did to us or better." Trish sighed, running her hands through her hair. "You guys have any ideas?" She asked, looking at us from across the table.

"I got nothing." Dakota pouted.

"Us either." The Twins said together.

"Same with me." Theo said, opening his bag and taking a pill bottle out.

"I got none either." I commented. I had tried to think of something, even when I was trying to sleep.

"We'll come up with an idea. We always do." Dakota said, as the bell rang.

For the rest of the day, I thought of ways to get back back at The Raiders. None of my teachers seemed to notice that I wasn't paying attention. At the end of the day, I had practice and no  choice but to give all my attention.

"Big game is here, just after beak boys. I hope you're all prepared. It'll be a short practice and I'll hand it over to Kevin." Coach slapped him on the shoulder, turning away.

"You know what to do. Practice the drills and tactics we learned the last two practices." Kevin said, stepping back to watch. For the captain of the football team, he hardly played.

I grabbed a football, from the bag as the team split itself in two. The offence huddled around me as I chose a play that we had learned. They nodded, lining up, a few muttering under their breath. The team was still mad at me for spending my time with the Mischief's. That didn't stop Emily from tagging me in all the photos and post on Facebook even though I was  not there and I didn't understand the posts.

I tried to ignore them as I started the play.

"Down."

"Set."

"Hut!"

The ball flew between the centers legs and into my awaiting hands. I stepped back as I saw the rusher coming forward and pretended to hand off to one of the receivers who ran in front of me . The second receiver reached me but instead of running in front of me, he ran into me. The ball was knocked out of my hands as I fell towards my left, landing on my shoulder and hitting my head on the ground.

"Didn't know you were butt buddies with Jacob Jackson. Good to see though." The receiver breathed, making me realize it was Brett.

I sat up, shoving him back and a safe distance away from me.

"I was supporting my friend after he went through a tough time! If you knew what he went through you wouldn't be saying anything. " I said standing up and glaring at him.

He narrowed his eyes at me and shoved me back. I grabbed his jersey, slamming him into the ground. I ripped my helmet off, standing above him. He took his helmet off and kicked me behind my knees making me to drop to the ground. He grabbed me by my shoulders and slammed me into the ground, knocking my head.

"Boys!" A voice called but I ignored it.

I got out of Brett's grip, giving him a punch. I was going to give him another when my arms were pinned behind my back and two of my teammates pressed their hands on my chest.

"Practice is over boys!" Coach yelled, approaching us. The rest of the team left us, shaking their heads.

"Mind telling me what happened?" He asked as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"Coach it won't happen again." I said instead of answering his question. I wanted to get out of there.

"Fine. I'll evaluate what I saw and I'll tell you my punishment. Now get out of here."

I grabbed my helmet out off the ground and made my way to the locker room. I grabbed my stuff out of my locker, not changing. I put my clothes in my bag and stormed out, heading to the gym downtown.
