[Maria]
"I can't thank you enough, Loveday" I grinned, hugging her tightly. "You can thank me later, find Robin and Naomi before they end up leaving without you" she whispered, kissing my forehead. I bit my lip with excitement, before quickly making my way towards the other edge of the forest, where I planned to meet them. Loveday was going to return home to the DeNoir clan for several days, so that Uncle Benjamin wouldn't suspect as much. I was so grateful for all my family had sacrificed for me, I almost didn't want to leave them.
After what felt like hours, I finally reached the gate and sure enough, there was the carriage. Robin was sat on the ground playing with his hat while Naomi was petting the horses. Suddenly she turned her head and flashed a big grin. "Maria!" she shouted, making Robin rise to his feet with a large smile. "We were beginning to think you weren't coming!" she wrapped her arms around me enthusiastically. I giggled at her enthusiasm. "Maria" Robin grinned. Naomi let go of me and clapped her hands excitedly. "Are we ready to go?" she asked. I nodded quickly and made my way to the carriage, climbing inside. As we set off on our journey, I briefly peered out the window, smiling as the sun began to set on the valley.

"Robin" Naomi whispered, poking his face to wake him up. I giggled and nudged him slightly. He let out a big sigh and sat up slowly, stretching his arms. "What is it?" he groaned. "We're in London!" I exclaimed. He smiled excitedly and looked out of the window. "Ah, I remember this place" he whispered. "You've been here before?" Naomi asked in confusion. He glanced at me quickly. "My father's funeral, he was watching me" I explained. Thinking about it now, we'd never really discussed it. "Why were you watching me?" I asked. He smirked to himself. "Everybody knew you were coming to Moonacre, even before you did. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about."
I grinned shyly. "We're almost there" Naomi whispered. I could feel her shaking beside me, obviously nervous. "Where are we going?" Robin asked. "You'll see" she answered. We ventured on through the city, along the streets that I knew and past the buildings I so dearly missed. It brought back so many memories of the times my father would take me into the town to visit the market, or to see the first railway opening in London when I was seven years old. We passed St Paul's Cathedral, the grandest building in the area. This was close to my old home. I wanted to visit the servants, but they most likely wouldn't be there anymore.
After a while, we reached the edge of the city, where the farmlands began. "Please tell me where we're going" Robin moaned. I giggled at his frustration. The carriage slowed to a halt, and Naomi climbed out in a hurry. Robin and I followed and the three of us quickly made our way to a large field. In the middle of the field was an old worn down barn. "Maria, please tell me why we're here" Robin begged. I glanced over at him. "Isn't it obvious?"
[Robin]
Naomi raced away in front of us towards the barn. "Hugo?" she yelled. Suddenly it all became clear. I glanced at Maria in shock, however she simply smirked. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed a figure, slowly emerging from the barn. Maria and I turned quickly, to see a tall boy with shaggy hair and scruffy clothes staring at the young woman running towards him. "Naomi?" I heard him say in shock. He too began racing and the two collided, sharing a passionate hug as he lifted her off her feet and spun her around. Maria and I glanced back at each other, grinning. Neither could deny it was no less than a perfect reunion. Hugo returned Naomi to the ground and they stared at each other silently for several moments. Suddenly their lips crashed together as they intertwined their fingers. It was true love and it was very clear that nothing would come between them again.
I glanced down and slowly slid my hand into Maria's. She peered up at me slowly and smiled. Before I could stop myself, I found I was kissing her softly. I felt her smile into the kiss, in turn earning a brief smile from me. I caressed her cheek and run my fingers through her hair. We pulled away for breath and I rested my forehead on hers. "I love you, Maria Merryweather" I whispered. "I love you, Robin DeNoir."
