The wedding is in 3 days. What do I wear? What do I do? I don't know what a maid of honour does. Goodness, Uncle, you couldn't have made things more complicated. I sighed and tiptoed downstairs. Everyone was eating in the dining room. To be perfectly honest, I'm not hungry. I just want some fresh air. I'll go to the forest. It's a Thursday today. I never go to the forest on a Thursday, maybe he'll be there. I hope so. I want to talk to him. Not sure what about. I just need to hear his voice.

I opened the front door quietly, and made my way outside, leaving the door open. Digweed knows me enough to remember that I don't close that stupid noisy door when I'm sneaking out. I ran through the gardens until I reached the edge of the forest. I hope he's here. I began weaving in and out of the tall trees until I found it. The large tree, that hides the Moon Princess's room.

I climbed inside until I reached the door. I opened it slowly. It didn't creak this time, as I got Uncle Benjamin to oil it. As soon as I opened it, I saw Robin himself sat on the bed with his head in his hands. He looked up at me and stood up immediately. "Maria, I... I was just leaving" he was about to walk past me, when I stopped him. "Robin, what's going on?" I asked. He sighed. "Keep your nose out of my personal life!" he yelled. I stepped back in shock. He realised what happened and fell to his knees. "Maria, I'm sorry. I just need to be alone" he sobbed. I crouched down in front of him and took his hat off.

"Robin" I whispered, stroking his hair softly. He looked up and sighed. "I should go, my father will be expecting me" he whispered. Before I could say anything, he'd stood up and left. What just happened? I turned towards the bed, and noticed a small slip of paper. Did he drop this? I picked it up and opened it.

Two months. Two months without talking to her. Two months since she could have killed herself. Maybe I should jump off that cliff. Everyone would be so much happier. Especially her.

He wants to kill himself? But why? I heard the door open behind me. "Oh, you're still here. I just forgot my-" he looked at the paper in my hand. "Maria" he whispered, eyes wide and full of tears. "Robin, why would you do such a thing?" I asked quietly. He ripped the paper from my grasp and scrunched it into a little ball. "You wouldn't understand" he whispered before slamming the door behind him and leaving me alone in silence once again.
