"Please, I need to see her!" I begged. "She's not well, boy. You have to go home. When she is well enough to visit you, she will" he replied. I sighed. "You don't understand! It's my fault, I must apologise! I have to explain-"

"Your fault?" he glared at me suspiciously. I paused. "What did you do to her?" his voice became louder. I stepped back slightly. Loveday had told me several times how violent Sir Benjamin could be when he was angry. "I didn't do anything to-"

"Get out! I will escort you home and I will tell your father. I doubt he will be best pleased!" he grabbed the collar of my jacket and dragged me outside. Digweed quickly closed the doors behind us. I couldn't get in.

"Benjamin?" my father glared at me. He and Benjamin spoke about me while I sat in my room silently. It felt like hours before Benjamin left. The loud footsteps of my father echoed up the stairs as he stormed angrily to my room.

The door flew open and all I could see in his face was disappointment. But disappointment soon turned to anger. He lunged towards me and I felt a sharp pain across my cheek. "Robin, how could you?" he asked, almost silently. There was another pain, this time, on my nose.

I suddenly felt something cold. I reached up to my nose, and was shocked when I looked down at my hand. Blood. "Stupid boy!" he yelled, grabbing my hair and dragging to the other said of the room. I tried to cry for help, but nothing came out. My head was slammed against the wall and I felt a bigger pain in my stomach. I groaned and collapsed to the floor.
