Chapter 4
"I'm quite surprised I must admit." Violet says.
I look at her and I can't help but examine her up and down. She is wearing a grey v neck shirt, a washed boyfriend jeans and a pair of white converse. She looked, yet again, cute.
"Why so?" I ask.
"You were really good with Tommy." She says.
"I liked him." I say.
"Oh so you just are nice with those you find nice?" She asked with a little grin.
"I do." I admit.
"So you hate me." She said with a smirk.
"Err...you are alright I guess." I joked and she laughed.
We continued walking out of the hospital. I spotted my black Range Rover but I decided I will walk her to her car. She stopped in front of an old looking Volkswagen of a hideous yellow colour. It was horrendous and it looked like it was about to die.
"You are joking right?" I ask.
"What?" She asks confused.
"Your car is the definition of shit." I say.
"Hey! You are hurting Mary's feelings." She said pointing to the car.
"Mary?" I ask.
"My car. She is named Mary." She smiled.
"Oh my god." I groaned. "I'll drive you home."
"What? No! What are you talking about?!" She asks with furrowed brows.
"You are going to die on that thing!" I say pointing to Mary.
"Shup up! She is fine!" She touches the car like if she was massaging it.
"I can't believe you have a name for your car." I laugh.
"Why not?" She asks with furrowed brows.
"It's ridiculous." I say.
"No it's not. It brings you closer with things." She says.
"If you say so..." I say.
"Yes, I do." She opens the door and sits inside.
"I'll drive you." I repeat myself.
"No. Mary is a fantastic car. I don't need your sure expensive nameless car." She said.
"Oh god Violet! Why are you so difficult?" I ask.
"I am not. You are the difficult one." She points to me. "I have been driving Mary for good 5 years now. I can manage. Thank you Liam."
She pulled the door closed forcefully.
"What you just called me?" I ask.
"Liam. I am sorry. I should have said Mr. Payne or Sir." She said and then rolled her eyes.
"You can call me Liam." I say.
"What?" She asks surprised.
"You can call me Liam if you get in my car and let me drive you." I smirked as I spoke.
"Oh my god." She muttered and gave me the middle finger.
My mouth felt in awe and she took the opportunity to start her shit car and drive away. I just fucking believe she did that. I was really mad. Who does she think she is? Is she 5 or what?
I groaned and walked to my car. I jumped up and made my way to my house.
In a few minutes I was there and I said hi to Marine and eat my dinner in silence. I couldn't stop thinking of the Violet character. Who does she think she is to speak to me like that? I could take my funds from her pretty little hospital in a heartbeat. But I am not letting the kids pay for her mistakes.
She really infuriated me tonight. I wasn't being that rude! She just acted like a kid because I insulted her beloved car. That her car is shit is not an insult, it's a fact. She is so stupid I swear.
And how she dresses? She is 25 for god shakes. She dresses like she was 14! Imagine her in heels, she sure trips every few seconds. She never wears make up either, I am sure she doesn't even know what eyeliner is.
But she is also so cute and nice. The way she interacts with the kids and most especially with Tommy is heartwarming. She doesn't see sick kids, she sees little fighters. Or that is one of the things she has told me.
She is so lovely with them. She kisses and hugs them. They also love her so much. When we were about to leave, they all groaned because she was leaving. She really has a big heart.
I groaned and put my thought about her aside. I went to my office and expend a few hours working here and there. After that I went straight to bed and my thought wandered back to Violet.
"Violet, Violet, Violet,...why can't I spot thinking about you?" I say while I looked to the ceiling.
