Zero Chronicles

Chapter Four

Zero slowly regains consciousness.He looks around and notice that he was sitting on the floor with his back against a metal pole.He was about to move but realize that he can't.He looks down to see that he was tied to the pole with metal chains.He then notice that the pipe was gone but he was still bleeding from the wound.He coughs a couple of times with one of his coughs had him coughing out blood.

Zero:Shit...The pipe is gone but the wound wasn't bandaged up.I'll die if I don't stop the bleeding.(thinks to self)

He looks around and found out that he was in a fairly big room with nothing but several candle lights that was lighting the room.A couple of feet to his right was Anya.She too was tied to a pole.She was unconscious.

Zero:A-anya...Hey,Anya! Anya,do you here me...?

After a few seconds,Anya slowly starts to wake up.Realizing that she couldn't move,she starts to panic.

Anya:Huh? W-what's going on?! Where are we..?!
Zero:Calm down Anya.Panicking won't help.
Anya:Your wound! What happened to it?
Zero:The pipe has been removed but my wound wasn't treated.Its only a matter of time before I bleed to death.
Anya:Don't worry.I'll get you out of there.Give me a second to break these chains.

With all her might,she tries to break free from the chain with brute force but to her surprise,the chains didn't break.Zero was surprise as well.

Anya:What's going on? Why can't I break these?
Zero:I'm guessing these aren't ordinary chains.

From the dark corner from the other side of the room,a voice answers Zero.It was a male voice.

Male voice:You're right.Those are special chains for your kind of people.

The sound of footsteps can be heard that was walking towards Zero and Anya.Moments later,the figure steps into the light to reveal himself.It was man wearing a black robe with a hood over his head.He gives a cocky grin while he looks at Zero and Anya.

Hooded man:Welcome agents.Did you like our warm greeting?
Zero:Your friend stabbed me with a metal pipe.You call that a greeting?
Anya:You're going to pay for hurting Zero! I'll kill you!

Anya tries to break free once more but the result was the same.The man simply laughs in a mocking way.

Hooded man:I told you.Those chains are special.They seal your abilities thus making you as weak as normal humans.Anyway,I was really surprised when you noticed a couple of agents were able to enter here.I thought only that Hunter Adams guy was the one who was in charge of stopping us.I guess I was wrong.
Zero:Well you're right and wrong.
Hooded man:Well that doesn't matter.Our plan is still going to succeed.
Zero:What is this crazy cult's objective anyway?
Hooded man:Crazy? That's a harsh thing to say.We're not crazy at all.
Zero:Oh yeah?
Hooded man:Yes.We're only trying to summon the devil himself:Lucifer.
Anya:Lucifer?!
Zero:You really are crazy!

The man stomps his foot that echoes throughout the room.Anya was startled by the sudden action.

Hooded man:Shut up! I will not let you disrespect the place where we worship him!
Zero:Tsk.Everyone in this cult is damn crazy.

The man was annoyed by Zero's words.He walks closer to him and then kicks him right where his wound was.He instantly coughs out blood then groans in pain.

Anya:Zero!(looks at zero)
Hooded man:I suggest you keep those words to yourself.The next time you piss me off,I will kill you.
Zero:Then why haven't you killed us yet? You could have easily done that earlier.
Hooded man:Of course I could have.But I have something else planned for both of you.
Zero:And that is...?
Hooded man:Once we summon Lucifer,we'll sacrifice the two of you to him!
