Chapter Five

The hot sun rains down onto a beautiful beach that was crowded with people.On one area,Anya was enjoying herself as she splash and plays around the water.Several other kids about her age soon joins her.A couple of feet from them was Zero.He was laying his back on the sand while keeping an eye on Anya.He had sunglasses on.

Zero:That girl acts mature but deep down she's still a kid.

While he was keeping an eye on her,something gets his attention.A girl in a sexy bikini,who was about his age,walks by.His eyes instantly follows her movements.

Zero:Wow.Thats one fine looking girl.(thinks to self)

Suddenly,Zero gets hit on the head by a medium size sea shell on the forehead.He goes down while rubbing his forehead to ease the pain.He takes the shell and looks around in confusion.

Zero:What the--? Who the hell threw that?

He sees Anya staring at him with a jealous look on her face and Zero knew who the culprit was.

Zero:Sigh.I should have known.(scratch head)

Anya goes to where Zero was.She crosses her arms as she glares at him.

Anya:I saw what you did.You were drooling all over that girl just now!
Zero:Yeah,so? I'm a guy so its only natural that I felt attracted to her.I mean,she did look hot.
Anya:You're the worst! You already have me and yet you're looking at other girls!
Zero:Hey,hey.There you go again.Let me remind you that we're not in a relationship.

Upon realizing that,Anya blushes in embarrassment.But she refuses to admit it.She pouts in annoyance instead.

Anya:Hmp! Whatever! It still annoys me.(looks away)
Zero:I went all the trouble of getting us here and this is how you thank me?

Anya was feeling sorry and set aside her anger for now.

Anya:Alright.I'm sorry.I guess I kinda got carried away.But a shell wouldn't kill someone like you.
Zero:Thats not the point.
Anya:S-sorry...(murmurs)
Zero:Well,as long as you're sorry then thats fine.

Anya sits next to Zero and gaze at the beach.People were laughing and children were having fun.

Anya:This was a great choice Zero.Its been awhile since we visited the Philippines.This country is known for having the best beaches in the world.
Zero:I knew you would like it.And I like it here too.Besides,I prefer a more tropical place like this one.
Anya:Yeah.Me too.And this resort is simply amazing.
Zero:Its one of the best resort in the country.Plus its surprisingly cheap.
Anya:It only feels cheap since we have more than enough money with us.
Zero:That is true.
Anya:Hey Zero.After this,why don't we go out shopping? We passed a mall on the way here.I really need to buy some new clothes.
Zero:I just don't understand you girls.You go and buy so many clothes and when there's a special occasion,you go "I have nothing to wear".
Anya:You wouldn't understand because you're not a girl.
Zero:Whatever.I mean,you already look pretty enough.

Anya blushes a little after hearing that.

Anya:Y-you think I'm pretty?
Zero:You're a growing girl so there's room for improvements.
Anya:Just answer my question Zero.AM I PRETTY?
Zero:Yes,yes.You're pretty.Jeez.
Anya:Thanks!(giggles)

A little later,Zero and Anya were now in an outdoor cafe near the beach.They were drinking a cold glass of fruit shake.Anya takes a sip and shows a content look on her face.At this point,both of them were wearing civilian clothes.Anya was in a shirt with a skirt while Zero was wearing his usual black clothes.

Anya:Delicious! This is absolutely delicious!
Zero:Aren't you overreacting?
Anya:Say what you want but I'm liking this right now!
Zero:You like almost anything as long as its food.
Anya:Guilty as charged!(giggles)
