Chapter Twenty Seven

Zero was busy doing some warm up stretches in front of a large mirror that was attached to one side of the entire wall.He was in a gym-like room with several exercising tools scattered throughout the room.Accompanying him was his partner,Anya.Both of them were wearing clothes that were meant for exercising.

Anya:Are you sure about this Zero?
Zero:About what?
Anya:I mean,about the idea of controlling your demon side.Sure you were able to control it during that witch incident but who know's what might happen next time.
Zero:You're right.I might have been lucky that nothing bad happened.But that's the point of this training.I have to learn how to control it since it will come in handy during a mission.
Anya:Just...don't push yourself too hard,alright?

Zero stops his warm up and looks at Anya.He can tell that she was really worried about him.He goes to her and pats her on the head.

Zero:I promise I won't do anything rash.
Anya:O-okay....(blushes)

Zero was about to continue with his stretches when the door of the room slides open.Zero and Anya turns around to see that it was Hunter and Violet.The two of them were also wearing gym clothes.Violet had her hair tied up into a ponytail.Zero stares at Violet and was charmed for a moment by her simple yet pretty face.Anya notice the face he was making and pouts in annoyance.

Hunter:Hey there,Zero.I'm surprise that you're here early.
Zero:I was too excited.I haven't even slept properly last night.
Violet:My,someone is eager to unleash his new power.(giggles)
Zero:Oh,sorry but...you are?(looks at violet)
Violet:Oops! How rude of me.Let me introduce myself.I'm Violet.One of the higher ups of the Organization.Nice to meet you,Agent Zero.(winks)

Both Zero and Anya were in complete shock after hearing that.

Zero:A-are you serious? You're our boss?
Violet:Yup!(smiles)
Hunter:It's true.Don't let her appearance fool you.Out of the 10 most powerful Agents in the Organization,she's ranked number five.
Zero:Is...is that so? Now I'm starting to feel nervous.
Violet:Oh don't be.We're all friends here you know.
Hunter:In face,she's volunteered to help train you Zero.You should be grateful.
Zero:I-I am! Thank you very much!(bows)
Violet:It's fine,it's fine.No need for formality.
Zero:Thank you again but why did you decided to help me anyway?
Violet:It's not everyday that an Agent gets their hands on a demonic power.You're a very rare case and I wanted to personally see you grow.
Zero:Oh.Then thank you again.

Violet notice that Anya was staring at her with jealousy.The reaper shows a mischievous grin on her face.

Violet:You're Anya right? Zero is cute but he's not my type so don't worry because I'm not going to steal him from you.

Anya's face turns bright red with embarrassment.Zero himself couldn't help but blush a little from Violet's statement.

Anya:W-w-w-what are you talking about?!(blushes)
Violet:You're so cute when you're acting like that.(giggles)

A little later,they begin the training.Zero and Violet faces one another but where around 10 feet apart.Hunter and Anya watch from the side.

Zero:Are you sure you want to be my sparring partner?
Violet:If you're worried about hurting me,don't.I'm pretty confident I can handle anything you'll throw at me.
Zero:If you say so.
Violet:First off,you need to relax so close your eyes and meditate for a few minutes.
Zero:Eh? Can't we just do it immediately?
Violet:Nope! I'm the trainer here so you have to listen to what I say! Alright?(smiles)
Zero:F-fine...(scratch head)

While they were doing that,Anya asks Hunter something but was careful not to let Violet hear what she was saying.

Anya:Hey,what's she like?(looks at hunter)
Hunter:Huh? What do you mean?
Anya:Is she really that strong?
Hunter:Anya,she's ranked number five in the entire Organization.It speaks for itself.
Anya:Just how strong?
Hunter:Jeez,you're so persistent.What more do you want to know?
Anya:Is...is she even human?
Hunter:So that's where you're getting at.No,she's not.In fact,she's a Grim Reaper.
Anya:A R-r-reaper? As in,those who guides the souls of the people and stuff like that?
Hunter:Yeah.I was surprise myself when she told me what she really was.All this time I was standing next to a being that is considered to be a god.
