Zero Chronicles

Chapter Eight

After getting knocked to the side with Simon's attack,Zero slowly gets on his feet and face his new opponent.Anya was still in pain from the attack and was having a hard time standing up.As he stares into Simon's eyes with anger,a red aura emits from his body.Simon sees this and responds with a grin on his face.

Simon:Thats more like it.I hate it when my target doesn't take a fight seriously.
Zero:You want a fight? Then a fight you will get!(eyes glow)
Simon:Bring it,buttercup.

Zero goes for a punch but Simon instantly disappears and then appears several feet backwards.This pissed Zero a little.

Simon:You have got to do a little better than that,Agent.Your attacks are useless if you don't hit your target.
Zero:Shut up!

The aura quickly change into blue.After that,Zero charges at Simon with great speed but this doesn't bother the man at all.

Simon:Oh,your speed has increased.Impressive.But I'm afraid.....that isn't enough.

Zero goes for a punch but again Simon disappears before he could land a blow.In a split second,he appears behind Zero and delivers a powerful elbow strike to the back of his head.Despite the pain,Zero manage to stay on his feet.He turns around,takes a few steps back and goes into a defensive stance.His vision was blurry and his head was spinning a little from the attack.

Zero:Shit.I was being careless.I had no idea he could teleport that fast.(thinks to self)

Simon cracks his knuckles and prepares for an attack.

Simon:Sad to say that even with your speed,my teleportation is superior.What you're doing is just enhancing your mobility.While I on the other hand,instantly teleports the moment I use my ability.Unless you could go even faster,there's no way you can catch me!

Zero:We'll just see about that.(eyes glow)
Simon:Admit defeat and I might just break an arm or a leg.
Zero:Thats my line!

Zero again charges at the man with great speed and as expected,Simon disappears before he could hit him.He reappears behind Zero and was ready to do another elbow strike.

Simon:Idiot.No matter how hard you try,you will never---(thinks to self)

To his surprise,Zero connects a hit.His elbow strikes Simon on the side of his face.The attack comes to a complete surprise and had him confuse at the moment.

Simon:W-what the hell...?! How did he--?(thinks to self)

While Simon was still in a daze,Zero follows up with a kick to Simon's stomach.The force was so strong that he flies backwards before hitting the floor.Simon quickly stands but was obviously in pain from the kick.He still didn't know what happened.

Simon:Damn Agent...! How did you do that?!
Zero:What's wrong? You mad because I finally caught up to you even when you said that I couldn't?
Simon:What the hell did you do?! Are you hiding another ability or something?!
Zero:Of course not,you idiot.I was just creative in using my ability.
Simon:What?

Simon takes a closer look at Zero's body.He notice that only his right elbow was emitting a blue aura.And his entire leg that kicked him was the only part of his body that was emitting a red one.

Simon:Your...your auras.They're appearing on specific parts of your body.
Zero:You said that I couldn't catch up unless I was faster.Then thats what I did.
Simon:What?
Zero:I concentrated my speed enhancing to my elbow.That way I could counter no matter where you appear.And while you were confused,I concentrated by strength enhancing to me leg to make sure my kick could do damage.
Simon:Tsk.Looks like you're not as stupid as you look.
Zero:Its your fault for underestimating your opponent.
Simon:No matter.What happened was just a fluke.That won't happen again.
Zero:I don't think so.
