Chapter Twenty Eight

It was around midnight when Zero,Anya,Hunter and Jessica exits the door of the Arrival section of an airport.Each of them were carrying one luggage with them and instead of their usual black Agent clothes,they were wearing civilian outfits.The airport didn't have that many people around and it felt like they were the only ones there at the moment.Hunter checks his watch for the time.

Hunter:Looks like we got here just in time.The one who'll be picking us up will be here shortly.
Jessica:This is so exciting.This is my first time in Sakura City on Origen.
Hunter:I've been here a couple of times.We'll go sightseeing when we have the time.
Anya:Oh let's do that! Let's do that! I hear that the cherry blossoms here in Sakura City are just as beautiful as it is in Japan!
Jessica:I know,right?(giggles)

Hunter notice that Zero wasn't saying anything.He was just quietly watching the stars in the sky.

Hunter:What's wrong? Nervous?
Zero:Who wouldn't be? This is my first time entering a tournament.
Hunter:You've been training with Violet for a month.Show some backbone!
Zero:That's not really reassuring.
Hunter:Oh you'll be just fine.If it'll make you feel better,contestants aren't allowed to kill one another.They just have to make the other surrender or if one of you can't physically continue.
Zero:That's...good to hear at least.(scratch head)

Jessica and Anya were busy taking selfies and takes several pictures.Around 10 minutes later,a black car stops before them.When the window to the driver seat opens,they were surprise to see that Violet was the one driving.

Violet:Yo~! Sorry I took so long.(winks)
Zero:V-violet?
Violet:That's my name,don't wear it out!(giggles)
Hunter:You came to pick us up personally?
Violet:I'm just excited to see how our little Zero has changed.Hop on in and I'll take you to your hotel.The fight won't start for another 12 hours.

Everyone enters the car and moments later,they leave the airport.Hunter,Jessica and Anya were sitting on the back seat while Zero was in the passenger seat.

Violet:We can go sight seeing early in the morning.I'm sure most of you are tired already.
Jessica:You can say that again.(yawns)
Anya:I think I'll catch a few Zs.W-wake me up when we get there.(rubs eyes)
Violet:Sure will.

Jessica and Anya leans on one another before falling asleep.Violet takes a quick glimpse at Zero and sees that he had an uneasy look on his face as he stares outside the window.

Violet:Nervous?
Zero:Hunter asked me the same thing.I'm pretty sure you know my answer.
Violet:Then how about this? You want to know who you're up against?

This catch Zero's attention as he turns to Violet.

Zero:I am,actually.
Violet:Then listen up because I won't be repeating myself.
Zero:Sure.(nods)

Zero focus his attention to Violet.Hunter was curious about this as well and quietly listens to their conversation.

Violet:The one who you substituted has already qualified for the semi finals just before his injury.Although substitution isn't normally allowed,this is an exception since it's only the Rookie Division.
Zero:So,what do I need to do?
Violet:All you have to do is win three fights and you'll be going to the finals.
Zero:Sounds easy enough.
Violet:I haven't even told you who you're facing.

Violet takes out her cellphone from her pocket and gives it to Zero.He opens it and sees there were several files of people on it.Although there were names and other information,there were no pictures of them.

Violet:Those people are some of the Agents who have survived up until now.We don't know who you're facing but I have high expectation for the top three on the list.So far,they have proven to be the best among the rest.
Zero:Top three huh?(looks at cellphone)
Violet:First up we have Agent Tally.She's been on a winning streak with only four loses when she first entered the tournament.Don't underestimate her just because she's a girl.As you can see,she's much older than you.I think she's 25 or 26.
Zero:Don't worry.I don't judge someone by their appearance.
Violet:As for her ability,she's a Stone Creator.In other words,she can control rock,sand and even the ground itself.
Zero:That's...really impressive.I'm amaze that she's still a rookie like me.
Violet:She still have trouble controlling her ability though.One time on one of her missions,she tried lifting an entire mountain.As expected,the pressure was too much for her resulting in the breaking of her back.
Zero:O-ouch...That must have hurt.
Hunter:New recruits these days are full of pride just because they overestimate their ability.
