I pay my Uber driver and head into work. Honestly, I am in a mixed emotion state. I can still feel Jimmy's soft lips on mine and his warm touch, but he's married? He broke a vow for a stupid girl like me.

I don't know how today is going to go...

I take the usual trip in the elevator up to my floor. I stop by the break room, like usual, for a cup of coffee. I'm the only one in the room.

I pour my sugar into my cup.

"Goodmorning Sam." His voice stops me. It's so soothing, and deep.

"Goodmorning." I don't look at him.

He places his hand on my shoulder. "Nice to see you."

"Same for you Mr. Fallon."

He looks over his shoulder, and then back to me. "Sam, let's not mention my thing about last night."

"O-ok." I was never planning on it.

"I just don't want anyone thinking I'm in love with a young girl." He smirks and leaves.

What? Young girl? I'm so confused. And what's wrong with me?

I speed into my office and throw myself into my chair. I can't let this ruin my day...

...

I haven't been able to work all day. All I can think about is what Jimmy said.

"I just don't want anyone thinking I'm in love with a young girl." He said it so seriously. He wasn't joking.

I write a few notes down, but don't get far when someone knocks on my door.

"Come in."

I immediately recognize him as A.D Miles: head writer for the show, looking handsome as ever.

"Afternoon Samantha." He says.

"Hey Miles." I notice the envelope in his hands.

He notices me looking and hands it to me. "It's from Jimmy."

"Thanks." I say.

He leaves and I peel open the letter:

Sam -
I thought you might like this.

Attached is two tickets to the Billy Joel concert Friday.

I can't control myself. I start jumping up and down like a little kid.

But wait? Two tickets?

I make my way to Jimmy's office. I don't bother knocking. It's not like he's going to be naked.

"Samantha. Did you get what I sent?" He asks.

I pull the tickets out of my pocket. "Yes sir. But who is the second ticket for?"

"Ah," He gets up from his desk and walks over to me. He takes the second ticket from me. "It's for me."

I should've known.

"What? Why are you taking me?" I ask.

"I can't take a beautiful woman out to see an amazing singer." He laughs.

Woah.

"Jimmy you're married. Go with your wife."

"She is going to be out of town. I need someone to go with me."

"Oh." I look down at my shoes.

He places his hand under my chin and lifts it up. "So, you going?"

"Sure."
