Blood and Teeth

Chapter 2

They were beautiful like the evergreen forest with moss green specs orbiting a black pool. They were so piercing. Framed by long, thick dark eyelashes and hooded by tanned eyelids. Beautiful.

Suddenly my trance stare was interrupted by a deep throaty cough emanating from the chest I’d just smacked into causing a vibration to transpire from the stranger to me. I rapidly blinked out of my daze and inspected the stranger from head to toe trying to hide my light blush in hopes he wouldn’t notice my blatant stare.

“You know if you are going to check someone out you could at least have the balls to own up to it” he said in a matter of fact tone.

“Excuse me? You are in my way actually and how dare you think that a person like me would even glance at you.” Outrage didn’t begin to describe how I felt. Who does he think he is? Waltzing in and daring to even look at me let alone block my path, insult me and accuse me of something so vulgar.

“I wasn’t checking you out you egotistical prick!” I mean seriously I got side tracked by his eyes that’s all.

“Sure cause your lustful gaze really seemed annoyed. Listen Rosie I haven’t got time for your silly games unlike you I actually have things to do so step aside and let me get my drink would you.” From his tone it wasn’t a question. Wait did he just call me Rosie?

“Rosie?”

“Your cheeks. Ever since I caught you staring your cheeks have gone a rose like colour hence Rosie”

“My name is not Rosie”

“It is to me. Now I won’t ask you again leave and let me order my fucking drink”

As much as I hated his attitude I can’t say I wanted to be in his presence any longer so I bit my tongue and walked away to the wall. What a jerk and Rosie? Seriously? He’ll pay for that. Suddenly my planning of revenge however was interrupted.

“OMG! Who’s the hottie?”Jess said in her usual suggestive manner

“What ‘hottie’?”

“The guy with the sex god body and the I’m going to eat up up face”

“Oh god how in the hell am I meant to determine your new fuck buddy with that description” what is it with this girl and sex. Does her body think it’s a teenage boy or something?

“ha ha ha no Pandora I mean your sexy piece of arse over there” she pointed to the green eyed prick from earlier. My mouth has never fallen so far down to the floor. How could she think that IT is MY new lover.  Gross!

“Ew ew NO! How could you even think that the guy is a prick. I mean he had the actual nerve to block my path and then say I was checking him out! He’s horrible.”

“I don’t know I think he’s rather handsome. And from when I last looked you couldn’t take your eyes off him”

“He was in my way and besides his eyes were nice but that is all!”

“Sure so tell me this you don’t think he’s a little bit hm what’s the word you’d use…um fetching?”

“Fetching? I’m not a posh twat and I didn’t look at him I was too busy getting ready to throttle him”

“Well look now he’s only over there” She was pointing to another corner in the room talking to some well to put it how I see it sluts. I mean seriously how on earth is a dress covering half your arse and just above the nipple suitable for a black tie event? They were pressing up against him by the dozen and I couldn’t help but feel ill.

Once I stopped observing the harlots in training I began doing what I was meant to be doing.  He seemed to be the prime example of tall, dark and handsome. He had to be at least 6ft 4 however he had muscle. Not massive wrestler muscle but more athletic type so just enough to see but not show too much.  His skin was tanned and he had dark black hair. He was wearing a black suit like every other man however something about him made it seem better, look better on him it just fit perfectly. So to sum up I guess in Jess’s wide vocabulary he was hot.
