Sunday morning. Dark and dreary, rain pattering gently against the window. In the distance, thunder rumbled.

Asahi woke up to the feeling of you turning on your side. You groaned slightly, wrapping an arm around his waist and pressing your face between his shoulderblades. He smiled. "Morning," he mumbled, rubbing your forearm affectionately.

Your head shot up over his shoulder. "Did you just wake up, too?"

He yawned and nodded in affirmation. "Did you sleep well?"

"Yeah," you smiled. You pulled away slightly to let Asahi readjust himself and face you. "I had a weird dream though about us getting lost in the mall, haha."

"I dreamt about tonkotsu ramen..."

"...You would dream about that, you loser."

Asahi flicked your forehead lightly and sighed. "I guess I'm your loser, though."

"Mhmm."

Your legs tangled with his under the covers as you pulled yourself closer to his warmth. "It's still raining."

"Yeah."

"I don't want to go to work tomorrow."

"You don't want to, but you have to."

"I know," you pouted, absently playing with a lock of his hair. "I know, but I just don't want to leave this." You gestured to your comfortable bed and him. "It's really hard to drag myself out of bed in the morning when you're still here."

The man chuckled, sending resounding vibrations through your body. "Is that your way of telling me that I should wake up first instead of you?"

"No! No, you don't have to do that."

Normally, in the morning, the two of you would be up at the same time, but he only took about fifteen minutes to get ready while you needed much more than that to prepare yourself for the day. So it was decided that you would get up first to make sure that you had as much time as possible.

You sighed. "I just want to stay in bed with you forever."

Asahi pulled the covers more over the both of you and let out a huff. "Now that you've said that, I really don't want to get out of bed. Ever."

Grinning, you kissed his cheek, eyes alight with mischief. "Let's quit our jobs and be bed potatoes then?"

"...Uh, as nice as that sounds..."

"If only it were possible, right? Yeah..."

Asahi smiled at how adorable you were. Bed potatoes was something he'd never heard of before, but the thought sounded very appealing. If it weren't for the fact that the two of you needed to work to survive, he wouldn't mind being a potato for a while, and he certainly wouldn't mind being one with you.

"Well," he prompted, tucking your head under his chin. "We can be bed potatoes on the weekends sometimes."

"Really?"

"Yeah. It'd be a nice break from work every now and then."

You hugged him tightly with giddiness at your incredibly lame plan on how to spend your weekends. "I already can't wait for this week to end. Lazing around never sounded so great!"

God, you were so cute. Sometimes Asahi didn't know what to do with himself. So he just hugged you and thought that no matter what and no matter how, he'd always enjoy spending time with you. Even if being a bed potato was one of them.

Sunday morning. Dark and dreary, rain pattering gently against the window. In the distance, thunder rumbled.

Waking up never felt so good.
