Scorpius

I run into Kendall Longbottom, Louis Weasley-Delacour, Fred Weasley, and my dormitory. So far they've all been nice to me. Kendall Longbottom is the son of Neville Longbottom and Hannah Abbott. He has blond hair and bright blue eyes. He's really funny and kind of crazy. His twin, Alice, is pretty much the same. He's always made me feel accepted. Louis Weasley-Delacour is Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour's son. He has red hair and dark blue eyes. He's quiet, thoughtful, and secretly hilarious. Fred Weasley is is George Weasley and Angelina Johnston's son. He has dark red hair, grey eyes, and dark skin. He's shy and about the most loyal friend you can get. I like him but sometimes I just don't want to be around him. I knew the death of Fred Weasley was devastating for the whole family and I felt partly responsible.

They were friends with James, Rose, and Albus too. It was a bit weird, they never exactly stood up to them for saying all those mean things a bout me (they should talk quieter, it's not like we can't hear them). They just said that they'd soon recognize that what they are doing is wrong and they'll try to make it up to me. Kendall said to me last night before I left to the astronomy tower.

"I know them, Scorpius," he said. His eyes as wide, striking, and icy as they normally were. But there was something there. The happiness that normally filled them wasn't there. There was something else instead. There was... intent. "They can't hold a meaningless grudge for that long. I know them."

I smiled. Who would've known that it would happen the next day. I guess I didn't think they would want to talk to me yet. They thought I was a terrible person and they were starting to make me feel like a terrible person. My grandfather no longer scared me, he mad me sad. For a while I wondered why should I resist, I'm probably going to end up just like him anyway.

No. I'm never going to be like him.

I'm happy... I head off to class.

I was in charms class. Professor Flitwick stood at the front of the classroom, on the pile of things that mad his small body visible to all his students. Professor Flitwick was small with hunched shoulders and a slightly hunched back. His face was covered with wrinkles, his long and hooked nose was crooked, and his long whit hair exploded in all directions. His voice was raspy and his whole body shook when he aid something. He looked like might fall over and that would be the end of him.

"Today," he started, his whole body shaking and I was afraid he was having a standing-up-seizure. His raspy voice was barely audible, and barely readable. "We will be levitating objects this class. Wingardium Leviosa, swish and flick." How is this man still standing? "Now I"d like you to all attempt to levitate your feathers."

"Sir," says a boy with dark brown hair and light blue eyes. "We don't have any feathers." It was true. Not a feather in sight.

"I assure Mr. Linton I've put out the feathers on each of your..." Was he dead? "Gah!" Nope. Just frustrated. He waved his wand and there were feathers in front of all of us. Cool.

He had us all try to levitate our feathers. I did on my first try. Jack Linton, who was sitting beside me, looked at me in shock. Rose looked behind her, to me, after her first try and her face turned red seeing I'd succeeded before her. Albus said something to her and she focused back on her feather. She got it on her second try. Not bad.

Me and Rose held our feathers in the air while we watched the class, amused, trying to get the feather of their desk. It was fun to see there concentrated faces go to confused then complete frustration.

I watched as Linton tried desperately to make his feather rise of the desk. I mentally cried from laughter when his desperation turned into anger.

"Wingardium Leviosa!" Nothing. "Wingardium Leviosa!" Nothing. "WINGARDIUM LEVIOSA!" It got a lot better. "I SAID WINGARDIUM LEVIOSA YOU STUBBORN LITTLE DEVIL!!!"

When he said this the feather, as you might have guessed, did not levitate it simply rocketed to Linton's eye level than exploded. When it did Professor Flitwick fell of his pile of things.

"Wingardium Leviosa," I shout, levitating my charms professor back into his place in the front of the classroom. It was a lot harder than I thought it would have been. It felt like my Professor was about to slip out of my grasp. It took a lot of concentration.

Professor Flitwick looks bewildered when I first place him down. The he says, "thank you, Mr. Malfoy."

The class was staring at me but I pretended like I didn't notice. I ask Linton if he's okay. I want to be nice and it takes everything I've got to push down all that laughter I want to let out when I see his face.

"Thank you, students," Professor Flitwick says. "Class dismissed."

I walk out of the classroom and BAM! Everyone knows me as the first year who levitated his charms professor.
