Albus

Uncle Ron managed to keep us all alive the entire ride to the Longbottom's.

Ron is a terrible driver.

After a lot of yelling from inside the car ("what are you doing Ron?!" "You're going to get us killed!" "You need to stop at the stop signs!") and outside ("you almost hit my car!" "It's a green light!" "Move!") we finally made it to the Longbottom's.

When we walk in Neville smiles. "Hey, Albus. Alice and Kendall are downstairs with Scorpius. They're excited to see you."

"Thanks, Neville," Rose says, walking up behind me.

"Thank you," I say before following Rose downstairs.

"Hey," says Rose when we are at the bottom of the steps. Alice, Kendall, and Scorpius are sitting on the couch.

Scorpius looked down when Rose looked at him.

Before we know it we are all playing a rather competitive tournament of Just Dance (a muggle game that Alice loves). Basically all you do is copy the dance on the screen. The better you do the more points you get, the more points you get the more stars you get. Kendall is particularly terrible at this game and Alice is, no doubt, the best. I guess she had the most practice.

After that we decided to go on their trampoline (another muggle item that is very fun. We've tried begging for one. No luck). Only three can go on at a time so me, Alice, and Kendall end up going on while Rose and Scorpius do some Just Dance or something inside and wait.

While we're on the trampoline we talk about school. I can't wait to go back to school and I guess Alice and Kendall feel the same way.

Rose

Me and Scorpius sit on the couch as everyone else is on the trampoline.

"I'm sorry," says Scorpius once Alice, Kendall, and Albus leave for the trampoline.

"For what?" I ask.

"For not saying anything," he says. "My parents..."

"I know, Scorpius," I say.

"Did you see it in the Daily Prophet or something?" he asks. I just nod.

"I wanted to tell you," he says. "I just figured you couldn't help me so I stayed quiet."

"I couldn't have changed anything," I tell him. "I know that but you can easily find help whenever you need it. True, it might not always be very effective or related to the problem but at least it's something."

He's quiet for a moment and then says, "I guess you're right."

"It's been five minutes," I say pointing at the clock. "Time for us to go on the trampoline."

The trampoline was really fun. We got Mom to put some sort of spell on the trampoline to make it slippery. Scorpius somehow managed to land a flip on the trampoline! I couldn't land most of my jumps!

After fifteen minutes it was time to go inside for lunch. We ate some stuffed peppers and garlic bread.

Mom, Dad, Harry, Ginny, and Neville talked a lot. They were friends once. Sometimes it's hard to imagine that. They were my age once.

"You all were in Gryffindor at Hogwarts," I say after a while. "How did you all meet?"

"Well, how Ron and me met isn't all that exciting," Harry said. "He sat with me on the train to Hogwarts our first year. Bought an entire trolly of junk food."

"Meeting Hermione wasn't that great," says Dad.

"Don't say that Ron," says my Mom but Dad just smiles.

"Your mother was a pain," he says. "So I got this spell from my brother which wasn't exactly a real spell which I was about to figure out. I'm going to show Harry and your mother walks in and says, 'have you seen a toad? A boy named Neville had lost his.' So I say no and then she just says, 'oh so you're doing magic? Let's see then'."

Harry laughs at Dad's imitation of Mom.

"I was not like that!" says Mom.

"Oh yes you were," says Dad. "And then I do this spell which was a joke from my brother and she's just like, 'are you sure that's a real spell? It's not very good, is it? I, on the other hand, have been practicing some simple spells, for example,' and then she goes and de-fogs Harry's glasses and then realizes she's sitting in front of Harry Potter and tells us she's read fifty different Harry Potter biographies even though we were like only 11years old! How detailed was this biography?!"

"They weren't biographies!" says my mom.

Neville laughs. "Me, Harry, and Ron were in the same dormitory. Your parents did a lot of great things. Harry faced Voldemort in his first year! I couldn't do anything like that in my first year."

"Maybe not in your first year, Neville," says Harry. "In your seventh you killed Niagini with a sword. That was pretty awesome."

"You won the house cup in our first year," says Hermione. "That was great but I bet it was a big loss for Slytherin."

Neville laughs at what Mom said. "Because I said I'd fight you if you snuck out? That ended pretty pathetically on my part. Full body bind. Ron was right. Your brilliance is scary."

"I said I was sorry!"

"And I wasn't particularly good at flying either."

"Yeah," says Dad. "I guess getting whacked in the nose by my broom wasn't that bad."

"Harry was a really good at flying," says Mom. "He got chose for seeker in his first year!"

"You're father was good at flying," Harry tells Scorpius. "We kind of fought in the air at our first lesson. He became seeker in his second year."

"Are you thinking of playing Quidditch?" Neville asks Scorpius.

"I don't know," says Scorpius. "I'd love to but I'm not the best with a broom. Not like Rose, she's amazing."

"Do you watch Quidditch?" asks Ginny.

"Yes," says Scorpius. "I love watching Quidditch. I like the Chudley Cannons."

Dad immediately stops whatever he was doing while Harry, Mom, Ginny, and Neville try to hold back laughter.

After a couple seconds of silence Dad starts to talk. "I think..." Dad trails off. "I think I really like this one," Dad points at Scorpius. Dad's expression stays serious. Ginny places her head on the table to hide her face.

"And Rose," he says. "I... I give you permission to... marry him, that is, if you'd like to."

I look at my dad. Did I just hear him correctly. I turn to Scorpius and he cocks and eyebrow and gives me a mental message, your dad must really like the Chudley Cannons.

"RONALD BILLIUS WEASLEY!" Mom yells. Everyone lets out their laughter.

"What?" asks Dad. "He likes the Chudley Cannons." Mom smacks him on the shoulder but he keeps smiling.

"You are truly hopeless Ron," says Ginny. "Sometimes I can't believe we grew up in the same house."
