Rose
An entire year has ended. I hop off the train and I can't believe how fast this year went.
Next year will be my second year!
I walk up to my parents and smile widely. I haven't seen them in a long time.
I wave at Scorpius. My mom raises an eyebrow and my dad just glares at Scorpius until we manage to pry his eyes off him.
If you're wondering, Scorpius and I are friends. We're not best friends, just friends.
He still hasn't told me what's bothering him and I try my best to understand. Maybe he'll tell me next year.
Thinking of Scorpius just makes me sad because so many questions I've asked to him or myself, haven't been answered.
Are you alright? What's bothering you? Did something happen? Can I help you?
Next year I tell myself.
Next year

"Dad's home!" calls Hugo excitedly as our father apparates hear from the auror office.
"Ron!" my mom smiles. Her and dad hug.
We hear a knock at our door.
"I can't imagine who that might be," I say sarcastically.
"Invited yourself again, Harry?" I ask.
Harry Potter is my uncle. You might be wondering why I don't call him Uncle Harry and it's just because it doesn't sound right. Uncle Harry is four syllables. To address him as Harry makes him seem more human.
"Well, why not?" he asks, pretending to be offended.
"Awww, poor Harry," I say.
"Lily!" I hear Hugo yell.
Hugo adores Lily. They are complete opposites and I can never figure out how they can be such good friends. It makes me smile.
"Ginny!" I call when I see a familiar redhead.
Me and Ginny have a close relationship. I love Ginny. I want to be just like her when I grow up. She is confident, independent, lovely, and happy.
We have dinner together and it's like any other time except something unusual catches my eye.
Harry is reading the newspaper and I see the title:
Malfoy Sent to Azkaban
I see, in the picture, a woman screaming and smiling nonstop. But not a good type of smiling. An evil smile. I can't hear her laughter but it still sends waves through my body causing me to shiver. She looked insane.
She had a once beautiful face that had now aged. She didn't have a lot of wrinkles but they were, no doubt, evident. Her eyes were wild and her smile was inescapable. The only word I can give is evil. Very evil.
When everyone leaves the table I grab the newspaper (Harry had left it there like he always does), and I bring it up to my room to look for the page I'd seen earlier.
My parents are laughing, Albus is probably wondering where I am, I can't find Malfoy.
"Hey, Rose," a voice calls. "Are you in there." I don't answer. I need to find that page. I still can't find it.
"Rose!"
"Come in," I say without looking up.
Albus walks into my room. The walls in my room are a grey-blue color and the floors are white carpet. I have a larger window on the far wall in my room with white curtains and my bed underneath it. There is a door to my closet on the left wall of my room. I'm sitting on my bed trying to find that page. Where is it?
"What are you doing?" asks Albus with a confused look on his face.
I don't answer him because at that moment I see those wild eyes looking at me. I place the newspaper down on the bed so both me and Albus can read it.
Astoria Malfoy, wife of Draco Malfoy and mother of Scorpius Malfoy, was sentenced to 9 years in Azkaban on Friday night for multiple reasons. She has been found to be helping fulfill the intentions He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named had before he died, has abused her son, and has gone insane due to the word Bloodtraitor written on her arm. "It's a lie!" she yelled, before she was sentenced. "I am not a bloodtraitor anymore!" Astoria Malfoy is also the number of suspect of Draco Malfoy's sudden disappearance. He was reported missing Wednesday afternoon. Their son Scorpius Malfoy will be staying with Neville and Hannah Longbottom until they can find him.
There is a lot more words on the paper but I don't read them. I can't think.
"Wow," says Albus after he finished reading. I don't know how he managed to read the whole thing. The part I read almost made me throw up.
It's Saturday afternoon so this all happened yesterday night.
Without thinking it through I walk downstairs and ask my mom, "Can we go visit Alice and Kendall anytime soon? We haven't seen them in a long time."
Albus is standing behind me. I can hear his mental message what on earth are you doing? but he just nods like this was his idea too.
My mom smiles. "That sounds like a great idea!" then she turns to Dad, Harry, and Ginny. "We haven't seen Neville in quite a while. It would be nice if we could go to there place for a little bit."
Harry looks right at me after that. He read that article. I try my best to say please with my eyes.
Harry then smiles at Mom, Dad, Ginny and says, "Sound great, I'll send a letter right now." Harry writes a letter and then calls his owl, Randall. He gives the letter to Randall and Randall flies out the window.
After an hour or so Randall comes back with a letter from the Longbottom's.
To Harry,
We'd love to have you! You can come tomorrow for lunch. The kids are happy to have yours and Ron and Hermione's kids over. Also, you should know, Scorpius Malfoy will be here. His mom is in Azkaban and Draco is missing. He's a good kid. We hope to see you.
From,
Neville
I was the only one, other than Harry, who saw what was written on the note.
Once Harry had read it he smiled and stuffed it inside his coat pocket. "We can go," he says. "We're going to go tomorrow for lunch."

That night when I was sure Mom and Dad had fell asleep I went downstairs and lit the fire.
Harry had whispered to me, before he left, to talk to him tonight. I'm not sure what I'm going to say but I have to.
I grab some floo powder and stick my head over top the flames. I say, "26 Delta Avenue," and drop the floo powder. When I drop the powder I emerge my face into the flames.
At first I'm very dizzy but after a couple seconds I see Harry sitting on the couch in their living room, in front of me. His head turns quickly to me when I appear there. He kneels down in front of me.
"You wanted to talk to me, Harry," I say.
"Rose," he says slowly. "I know going the Longbottom's was your idea. Why do you want to go?" he asks.
"I'm not sure," I say, quietly.
"I saw you take the newspaper. I think you read the article about Astoria Malfoy."
"Yes," I say. "I was curious."
Harry smiled, it was more of a sad smile though. "I don't need to forgive you, curiosity is not a sin."
"I really am not sure," I say. "It's just that I feel I need to talk to Scorpius. I was shocked and just sort of asked if we could go. I wasn't thinking."
"I think you're doing the right thing, Rose," he says. "I've heard he's a good kid. Scorpius didn't deserve what happened to him. You should help him."
"Thank you, Harry."
"Anytime," he smiles.
