Chapter 16

Hailey's POV

Jordan wanted to take me out to dinner since we haven't been in quite a while. I was in the bathroom putting on my normal makeup. Foundation, blush, eyeliner, mascara, and lipgloss. After I finished, I stepped back to look myself down one more time. I had on my black ruffled dress that flowed down right above my knees. I paired it with a white cardigan, and my grey Vans.

I walked into the hall, greeted by Jordan wearing dark denim jeans, blue Vans, and a black tee shirt.

"Ready to go?" He asked.

I nodded and smiled, as he grabbed his brown coat.

When we reached the car, Jordan opened the door for me as I hopped in. Then he walked around to the other side, got in, and started the car when Illusion by Approaching Nirvana played. Before pulling out of the spot, he leaned over and kissed me on the cheek. "I love you," he said.

I smiled and blushed, "I love you too." Then we pulled out onto the road.

Jordan grabbed my hand and held it for the rest of the car ride, until we pulled up in front of a small burger place.

We got out and made our way to the entrance. Jordan held the door open for me, as usual. As I walked past him I said, "why thank you."

"You're welcome m'lady," he grinned.

Once we found a booth to sit at, we over looked the menus while talking.

"So yeah, Minecon's location is in Paris this year!" I said excitedly.

"We are so going!" He said while flailing his arms around like a little kid.

"Stop acting like a 5 year old," I told him as I grabbed his hands and held them in the middle of the table.

"Whatever," he smiled. A couple minutes later our food arrived.

Jordan insisted on paying, so I let him. But I told him I would pay next time, and he just smirked and said "sure you will." Now we were back in the car heading back home.

He reached over and grabbed my hand again. We were fixing to pass a side road when I looked out Jordan's window and saw a huge semi-truck barreling through right where we were headed.

"JORDAN!!!" I screamed and pointed in front of us. He turned his head just when the truck driver blowed his horn. But it was too late. Jordan looked back over to me, squeezed my hand tight, and quickly said, "I love you so much."

Then everything went black.
