Chapter 8

Hailey's POV

I was laying on my couch watching Full House, when my phone buzzed on the table. I picked it up to see who it was, Toby. Nope, so not answering that. There was a reason. You see, me and Toby used to date. And Toby as in, yes, Toby Turner. THE Toby Turner. Tobuscus. Anyways, we dated for a good 8 months, until he had to move to Los Angeles. Before he moved, we lived in New York. After he graduated college, he told me he was moving out to California. He said his goodbyes, and left. I was devastated, completely heartbroken, but after a year, I was back to normal. And then I moved out to Los Angeles, too. And I met Jordan, he's made me completely forget about Toby, until now.

I laid my phone back down on the table, turning back to the TV. It buzzed again. "Ugh what does he want!" I said to myself. I picked it up, and answered it.

"Hello?" I said into the phone.

"Hey! Long time no talk, FruitLoop!" He said excitedly back. He called me FruitLoop because he was referring to my YouTube channel, FruitLoopNinja.

"What do you want Toby," I asked him.

"Well someone isn't too happy to hear from me. I just heard you moved to LA a couple months ago, and I'm having a little YouTuber party at my house. I was wondering if you wanted to come? It would give us time to catch up."

"Great," I thought. My ex is inviting me to a party. Well, at least there's other YouTubers. "I suppose I could make it. Do you mind if I bring someone along though?"

Toby's POV

"Do you mind if I bring someone along though?" She asked. Oh no, please please please tell me she doesn't have a boyfriend. The only reason I'm inviting her to this party is so we can catch up, and be back to how we were a year ago. I realized breaking up with her just because I was moving was the worst decision I have ever made, it haunts me everyday.

"Nah I don't mind," I lied. "Who is it?" I shouldn't have asked that. Oh no here it comes, I can just hear her say "my boyfriend."

"His name is Jordan, he's my boyfriend." I felt my heart drop into my stomach. Yep, there it was. Boyfriend. I knew it.

"Oh," is all I managed to say. There was a long pause before I spoke up again. "The parties at 7 next Saturday. Location, my place."

"Ok, thanks, see you then."

"Bye," I said, quickly hanging up the phone. I laid it down on the table. And covered my face in my hands.

"Boyfriend," I thought to myself. My chances of getting back together with Hailey are gone.

Hailey's POV

Toby sounded sad when I told him Jordan was my boyfriend. Why? He was the one that broke up with me. I don't know whatever, I'll head over to Jordan's to tell him about the party.

It was finally the day of Toby's party. I'm ready to get this over with.

"Go over to your apartment and put on something pretty!" Jordan told me.

I laughed and said, "that was my plan anyway!" Earning a laugh from Jordan as well.

I walked across the hall and through my door. "Dress or jeans?" I asked myself. Considering I hate dresses, jeans it is.

I threw on a pair of skinny jeans from American Eagle, and a mint green and grey stripped tank top. I walked into the bathroom, curled my hair, applied foundation, blush, mascara, eyeliner, and sliver eyeshadow. About an hour later, I was ready. I grabbed my black clutch, slipped on my grey Vans, and walked out the door. I stepped into Jordan's apartment to see if he's ready.
