Chapter 27

Jordan's POV

I walked around my living room and kitchen observing everything while Hailey stood at the end of the hallway shocked. All my kitchen appliances were smashed, my sofa tore up, and on the cracked tv screen was "T.T." in red spray paint.

I watched as Hailey slowly walked over to the TV set and rubbed her hand down the path of the paint. As she pulled it back, the red had smeared on the tips of her fingers, letting me know it was recent when this person decided to trash my apartment.

"There's only one person who could've done this..." She stated as her voice trailed off.

"Who?" I asked hoping for her to continue.

I saw the fear in her eyes as she lifted her head and her eyes slowly met mine. "T-Toby." She managed to stutter out.

I shook my head and rushed over to her to embrace her in my arms. As I cradled her head in my hand I felt my shirt sleeve become damp. "Shhh..s'okay," I said trying to sooth her. "We'll get this sorted out."

~~ time skip about one month ~~

Hailey's POV

I slept in fear every single night even though Jordan's arms were around my waist in a tight embrace. I felt myself grow more scared every day since we came home after our wedding and found his apartment trashed by Toby. As I closed my eyes I could only picture one thing in my mind, that dream I had so many months ago about Toby killing Jordan then shooting me. I thought it had no purpose and I had forgotten about it until now.

This dreamed haunted my mind every night and I barely got 3 hours of sleep but I didn't confront Jordan about it until this morning.

"Hey Jor," I started as I walked into the makeshift dining room and sat down.

"Yes my beautiful wife?" He smiled as he sat down beside me.

I tried to form a smile with my lips but it came out so weak, and he noticed. "What's wrong Hailey?" He asked as he grabbed my waist pulling me closer.

"I...I've had..d-dreams..." I struggled to find the words to tell Jordan, but eventually just broke down into tears. I cried into Jordan's grey shirt as he held me tight.

"Baby?" He said as he tilted my head up. "What is it?"

I wiped my eyes and began, "several months back I had a nightmare about...about..." I felt myself tearing up again but I blinked it back. "It was about Toby. I was ch-chained to chair and he said he killed you and I got so mad and scared and th-then he shot me!!" After I spat that out quickly I broke down once again. It seemed lately I've just been crying all the time.

"Shhh..." Jordan hushed as he held me. "That'll never happen," he said and he tilted my head up to look him in the eyes.

"I've lost sleep because I've been so terrified he'll come back and kidnap us or something and kill us just like my nightmare!" I sobbed.

"Hey it'll never happen because I will always protect you. I may not be the strongest guy in the world but I will never ever ever let anything happen to you or someone take you away from me. You're all mine and if anyone and I mean ANYONE did anything to you, it'd be like taking away oxygen from me because I cannot live without you," he said. As soon as he finished that I felt a smile creep on my face and I flew my arms around his neck and hugged him as tight as I could.

"I love you so so so much Jordan!!" I shouted.

I felt his chest rumble as he laughed and pulled back to look me in the eyes, "I love you too."

He picked me up as I wrapped my legs around his waist and he told me tomorrow we're going to look for a house.

"Like, a house? And not an apartment?" I questioned him.

"Yeah," he smiled, earning a smile from me.
