One of the dark figures is next to me on my right. I feel their hand land on my upper arm and stay there as I feel their other hand wipe the warm tears away from my face.

What happened? Where am I?

I look around as my vision slowly becomes clearer and the darkness slowly fades away. As I feel my tears being wiped away, more of them fall and I cannot stop them.

I lost it. I lost. Everything is a lie and everything is gone. I hate everything. I just want to go back home, the way it used to be.

I keep looking at the dark figure next to me, "I just want to go home..." I whisper.

"She's awake," I hear a deep, worried voice say.

"Oh, good," The soft voice says from across the room. There are those voices again.

The face looking down at me holds a worried look to match the voice. The shaggy blue hair and those deep blue eyes slowly fade into view.

Those voices. That face. Oh, my beloved Ike. He came for me!

Once I realize who it is, a small smile etches itself onto my lips as his right hand cups around my face.

"Ike," I say softly, feeling wearily and weak from being grounded for so long. He smiles when he hears his name. He gazes into my eyes, which is all I need to feel better. I grasp his hand in mine as he holds my face.

"I missed you," I say to him quietly. Then my eyes widen as I lift my free hand up and look at it. Then I glance up to Ike and say, "I'm not grounded anymore..."

Ike watches me and nods, "Yes. I do not know what you remember, Hun. But once you passed out, we brought you somewhere safe and your mother removed the device,"

I keep his gaze, everything I am saying is in a whisper, "I do not remember much, but the things I saw..." I let my eyes flash a bit of sadness as I pause, "I saw terrible things, Ike," I cannot stop the single tear from falling.

Ike's eyes sadden as well as he keeps his gaze on me, "What happened? Your mother was telling me what being grounded meant. She said you must have been grounded for a long time. When your magic is grounded, it is similar to losing it or losing control and your emotions take you over. It must have been terrible..." Ike tightens his grip on my hand that held it up to my face.

"I thought... I must have thought... It must've manipulated my memories, making me believe lies. I felt like I was a different person, like I really thought my life was a lie, Ike," I pause for a moment, as another tear falls slowly down my face, "I thought I was a prisoner, being punished for my deeds that must've not been my own..."
