I feel gentle but strong hands grasp me as I slowly begin to come out of my daze. Everything starts out blurry as I try to make out figures I see around me.
Ike. He's the one holding me. I know it without needing to see him.
A smile creeps onto my face as I feel him embrace me, holding me in his arms as he slowly stands me up onto my feet. When my vision clears up, I lift my left hand up to my temple, steadying the throbbing from my head.
"So glad you are alright, Hun,"
I look up to him and smile, "Ugh, that was not an easy task. What happened? Are they gone?" I turn, looking for Star, "Is Star alright?"
It's really weird talking about myself like this.
"By the way, don't worry me like that!" He says playfully, then he laughs when I laugh, giving a playful smirk as he crosses his arms over his chest.
"I am okay, see? Because you have been here for me," He smiles at me and pulls me closer to him. Then he continues, "Once we saw your shields fail, we had landed just in time. Your mother jumped out and found you both collapsed on the roof of the starship. Luckily the Namerans had quit attacking and was approached by the Queen who was waiting for our arrival,"
"That really took it out of me. Concentrating on something that large takes an extreme amount of focus," I pause, gazing into the eyes I have missed for so long, "And energy,"
He keeps my gaze, probably thinking the same, "Is Star alright? You haven't mentioned her to me yet,"
He keeps looking into my eyes for a moment, then it looks as though he shakes himself out of his thoughts. I laugh at him. He smiles as he says, "She's alright as far as I know. She's in the ship with your mother,"
My smile widens, "Okay,"
Ike's smile widens as well, answering to me. He pulls me in for a kiss. He makes me feel lighter than air. I realize how much I had missed him as I wrap my arms around his neck. He tightens his grip on me as he lifts me up into the air, spinning me around once before placing me back onto my feet. A small gasp escapes my lips as my smile grows while gazing into Ike's eyes once again.
